2012 Olympics

Winning a load of medals at a few lesbian sports that only a handful of people participate in FFS

Pity we can’t do half as well as the Brits. We really are shit. Hopefully the boxers can restore some pride

+1, she’s a lovely lass.

I have no proof, but I think there’s more doping going on than ever at the Olympics.

Well done Sherlock.

The most disappointing thing about the Irish team is how few perform anywhere near their capabilities. Very few PB’s or Irish records going in these games. In fairness to the Brits, their athletes are delivering.

They are, They have pumped millions into it though. With the exception of the boxers, the Irish just treat it as a junket.

At least the footballers are consistent.

I don’t know how people can complain about our performance. Looking at it from a rugby football perspective, I’ve counted 14 gold medals won by British and Irish athletes to date. A superb tally so far.

It’s actually at least 20 gold medals because all of Team GB’s success in the rowing came in events such as the coxless four and the double sculls.

Id be willing to give the Brits the benefit of the doubt here, there fans are giving the Irish competitors great support, knowing full well we would only be booing them if it was on here

MO Farrah is an alright sort. Pity for Rupp alright, was hilarious to see em on about Farrah being first non african winner in 24 years!!!

Lots of the diaspora evident amongst the Australian and American athletes.

quelle surprise chief west Brit on here giving the Brits the benefit of the doubt

Thanks, I like to consider myself as something of a sleuth.

Andy Murray has taken the first set 6-2 against Roger Federer in the men’s final.

4-0 up in the second too but never mind that, the mens badminton final is a superb contest.
8-7 to the underdog Malaysian in the third game.

Is the tennis final best of 3 or 5 sets?

He’s done it again. Great Britain expected and he delivered. The legendary Ben Ainslie has won his fourth successive gold medal in the Finn class. I have a funny feeling that the next time I refer to him it could be as “Sir Ben Ainslie”.

Dunno.

14 13 to Lee Chun Wey in the badminton.
Brilliant final game this is.

Who won the Finn class race?

18 all. Jesus this is tense.
