2012 Olympics

That makes no sense at all! “First or last”! I mean, you could be second, third, fourth–hell, you could even be fifth!

Bolt’s 200M heat on now

Oops.

That was hilarious from Bolt. Took the corner with a bit of effort, and jogged in front of the lads sprinting behind him then

Brownlee boys in 3rd and 4th and Noble (thanks Sid) is now in 6th.

I think the Brownlee boys will have taken quite a bit out of themselves in that attempt to keep the leading group ahead of the chasers.

This is damn impressive from Noble so far, in leading group now.

one of the Brownlees is getting a 15 second penalty for mounting his bike too early. Dirty bastard.

Fucking British cheating in the saddle again :shakefist:

Missed it mbb. What they do? Noble doing very well here for us.

Dumb that down a bit for me balbec. What are rules about mounting?

Noble goes through transition in 11th place, going on the lads talk, running wouldnt be his stronger part, so a top 20 would be a huge achievement.

Brownlee mounted the bike too early if I picked it up correctly. Has taken off on the run and leads with his brother, seems they’ll try to take the run out hard and take the penalty when they have a big gap built up.

This is scarcely believeable stuff from the Brownlee boys

You believe they’re drugged also?

Who’s to say, who’s to say. The second Brownlee chap still hasn’t taken his penalty. He has one more chance to do so or be disqualified. Falling behind now anyway.

Alistair Brownlee seems to be a fucking machine. This is compelling viewing, he’s after dropping Jonathan but Gomes continues to hang on. Jonathan might be in trouble, penultimate lap and still needs to take that penalty.

Last I heard Noble was down in 21st, 1KM down.

Looks like this may be the decisive move now.

Johnny Brownlee out of the pits in front of the Frenchman and retains third

Jonathan holds onto 3rd after his penalty, can he dig out enough to chase down Gomes now or can the French hunt down their man?!

Smashing finish, smashing race. Alistair 1st, Gomez second, Jonathan 3rd.

Awaiting Noble.

Alistair Brownlee takes a butcher’s apron from the crowd, drapes himself in it, and powers home to take gold for Team GB, the home crowd roaring him on… One of the images of the Games.
