2012 Six Nations

I fancy France, England and Wales to win this weekend.

After the way he played on Satirday he was never playing for Scotland again anyway.

Seven week ban for Bradley Davies. And yet no sanction for Pearson.

Our prayers have been answered

Ferris free to play Saturday.

Stephen kept the nerves away today by getting in some preparation for the big day coming up

I see the citing commisioner from the Ireland Wales match said that not only had Ferris no case to answer but it shouldn’t have even been a penalty

I could be wrong but I think the exact terminology used was in the commissions opinion, it wasn’t a penalty. Shouldnt have ever been in that position anyway and Wales were deserving of their win.

Fair cold over in Paris from the pictures. Fucking hate to play rugby on a partly frozen pitch.

Not much good to us now

Wonder will the IRFU do a John Delaney, or a Louth on it??

No, no they won’t, because they have some fucking sense hopefully

If they didnt do it in Cardiff last year, its unlikely they would this year for one they less deserved to win.

Is there a Welsh embassy we can burn?

Yachvili is out of the game on Saturday.

Ha the Irish team been named? I take it Earls back in is the only change?

Usually sometime after 1.

15 - Rob Kearney (UCD/Leinster)
14 - Tommy Bowe (Ospreys)
13 - Keith Earls (Young Munster/Munster)
12 - Gordon D’Arcy (Lansdowne/Leinster)
11 - Andrew Trimble (Ballymena/Ulster)
10 - Jonathan Sexton (St. Mary’s College/Leinster)
9 - Conor Murray (Garryowen/Munster)
1 - Cian Healy (Clontarf/Leinster)
2 - Rory Best (Banbridge/Ulster)
3 - Mike Ross (Clontarf/Leinster)
4 - Donncha O’Callaghan (Cork Constitution/Munster)
5 - Paul O’Connell (Young Munster/Munster) Captain
6 - Stephen Ferris (Dungannon/Ulster)
7 - Sean O’Brien (Clontarf/Leinster)
8 - Jamie Heaslip (Naas/Leinster)
Replacements:
16 - Sean Cronin (St. Mary’s College/Leinster)
17 - Tom Court (Malone/Ulster)
18 - Donnacha Ryan (Shannon/Munster)
19 - Peter O’Mahony (Cork Constitution/Munster)*
20 - Eoin Reddan (Lansdowne/Leinster)
21 - Ronan O’Gara (Cork Constitution/Munster)
22 - Fergus McFadden (Old Belvedere/Leinster)

I strongly suspect that France will target our vertically-challenged centre pairing.

Pleased to see Earls in but, while it’s hard to argue for just for the sake of it, there better be a radical.change in gameplan if a different performance is expected from the same group of players.

Can someone (mac) please tell me what the handicap and over/unders for the Italy v England game is

Ya slut.

Generally 7/8 points. -7 at evens with Stan James/Powers/SportingBet or +8 at evens with Boyles/VC/Hills/Coral

Under/Over 36.5 generally. Sportingbet go under 34 at 6/4 which looks appealing.

The International Rugby Board and Six Nations have backed referee Wayne Barnes over the penalty decision that led to Ireland’s Stephen Ferris being yellow carded during the RBS 6 Nations match between Ireland and Wales at the Aviva Stadium last Sunday.
While an Independent Six Nations disciplinary panel did not ultimately uphold the citing, the IRB’s match officials performance review endorsed Wayne Barnes’ decision to award a penalty.

On first viewing the panel could understand exactly how the match referee came to his decision. In dismissing the citing no criticism of the referee’s on field decision should be taken or inferred.

It was only after careful and prolonged analysis of the dynamics of the contact, including slow motion and step by step viewing, that the committee was able to see the strength of the submissions made in favour of Stephen Ferris.

All match officials are selected for International competition on merit. Performances are reviewed on an ongoing basis and taken into consideration when appointments are made for future international competitions.

Neither organisation will make any further comment on this matter.
