Incorrect.
you are an awful bluffer puke and lazy to boot
Gordon DāArcy (Leinster)
Age: 31
Caps: 58
WC appearances: 5
Height: 5ā 11ā
Weight: 93 kg (14st 8lb)
Fergus McFadden (Leinster)
Age: 25
Caps: 4
WC appearances: 0
Height: 5ā 11ā
Weight: 92kg (14st 6lb)
Gordon DāArcy is not 5"11. Iād take all them bios with a pinch of salt.
If you honestly believe that McFadden is as physical a player as Darcy then fair enough, just shows that you know little about it
they are accurate. whats the basis for your contention that they are not, you saw them from fifty yards?
Whats my contention for what, the height or the physicality?. DāArcy is not much more than 5"9. If you were to believe the bios then Sean Cronin and Keith Earls are also 5"11 which isnāt the case.
Did you not read it when you posted it? Winning a MOTM automatically put him on shortlist
Mong
FFS of course I did, hence the Jennings reference for Mac! Jesus Danā¦
Eh, why the startled reaction to no dusatoir or farrel then if they didnāt win a MOTM award?
Because it is farcical that anyone would use that as a way of gauging the player of a tournament when you look at performances of other players in said ātournamentā, not individual matches.
are you saying there is a vast player profile conspiracy going on.
firstly you said mcfadden was too small to be an international centre so we should keep an out of form butterfingers darcy and now you are saying mcfadden is bigger than darcy.
the lions profile has darcy at 5 11 incidentally and earls at 5 , 10 while all the profiles since have earls at 5 11. considering earls was 21 on the lions that makes perfect sense to me.
have you had the measuring tape out with these lads or something that makes you so sure you can dismiss all the available evidence?
I can confirm that Keith Earls is 5 11
thanks keith
puke will be along in a minute to put you in the long line of wrong people.
To quote a conversation with that stubborn cunt RTT:
āRTT, thereās 7 different people after telling you are wrongā
RTT: āWell then thereās 7 wrong people in hereā
Regardless of their stature McFadden is lightweight in defence, this has been shown on numerous occasions at Heineken Cup level and against Wales in February where he has been ran over and bounced off tackles he should have been making, as I have said DāArcy is a far more physical player and if you were to look back through last years Six Nations thread there was many calling for Wallace to play 12 but the fact is that DāArcy is a far superior defender to any other option we have for 12 at the moment and that is why he has continually been retained. He might not offer huge amounts in attack but McFaddens hands arenāt quick enough for 12 either.
DāArcy has had his lapses, the Davies try v Wales this year (although McFadden was far more culpable) and his missed tackle on Rougerie in last years game v France but those mistakes aside he has been solid and is a key player in the Irish defence. If McFadden was up to playing 12 he would be getting games for Leinster there when DāArcy is fit, Leinster have even plummed for Eoin OāMalley in the centre ahead of him when DāArcy and/or OāDriscoll have been injured.
McFadden is a decent squad player to have as he can kick goals and cover a load of different positions but he is not even close to being as good a defender as DāArcy or being as creative player than Paddy Wallace. A centre combination of Earls and McFadden will struggle hugely against the likes of France, England and Wales.
It is very easy call for change for the sake of change and I am far from DāArcyās biggest fan but he is a better inside centre than any of the current alternatives at this point in time. Swapping an solid but limited experienced player for an inexperienced and limited player isn;t the way to go, it is purely change for the sake of change
Dāarcyās defence has been very poor chewy. He might not get bounced as much as McFadden but that is only because he backs out if tackling players face on. Time and again he allows opponents metres before engaging them. He used to be far better but has regressed considerably both in attack and defence for a long time now. Cave and McFadden are both better alternatives for summer with Spence another who could be in with a shout.
I have yet to see anything from McFadden to show that he is a better alternative at 12, as I said I am not a huge fan of DāArcy but until McFadden can displace him at provincial level he can have no complaints about not being selected for the national team behind DāArcy. McFadden doesnāt have the skillset to play centre at this level and I donāt see what he would offer, he might make a solid winger at international level but we have far better options for there as well. I am a big fan of Cave who is a far more abrasive player than McFadden and wouldnāt mind seeing him come into the reckoning but injuries at important times havenāt helped his chances, Both him and Spence are far better options for inside centre than McFadden in the medium term.
put away the shovel puke. you are talking about a gordon darcy that ceased to exists 18months ago. mcfadden is the best option available right new so put him in and if he is going to fail at least let it be on the field and not becuse kidney is afraid to take a risk.
re not displacing darcy at leinster i haven`t noticed your posts comdemning kidney for picking o callaghan ahead of ryan could you let me know where they are?
disapointing result for the under 20s. saw some of the earlier games. jackson the outhalf is a decent player but he couldnt kick snow off a rope.
the scrum half mcgrath looks like a real prospect as well and some of the backs appear to be seriously big lads
Jackson has touch of class about him all right but kicking tends to get flakey when pressure is on. Have to expect England to stretch their lead in second half. If scrum can be sorted youād give us some hope.
