Ireland’s Eurovision entrant Ryan Dolan has told of his disappointment at a perceived slight by Ray D’Arcy on his radio show.
The singer defeated four other finalists on last week’s Late Late competition, including ex girlband singer Kasey who was mentored by D’Arcy’s Today FM colleague Mairead Farrell. But on Monday morning there was no mention of the victor until a texter prompted D’Arcy to congratulate Ryan.
“It was really disappointing,” Ryan said. “It would have been nice to see Ray get behind us.” His mentor Stuart O’Connor accused D’Arcy of “sour grapes.” After commiserating with Ms Farrell and Kasey, the DJ said "Well, I’d say one thing they have going for them is that the whole thing looked eastern European… and that’s probably a good thing. Anyway congrats to Ryan Dolan.
Mr O’Connor said “I found the whole campaign with Kasey and Mairead hard to take because I am unknown, and Ryan is unknown so we had the hardest job to get out there. Then to have someone like Ray D’Arcy make a comment like that and throw our credibility out the window is just wrong.” When contacted by the MoS, utter cunt Ray D’arcy declined to comment.
After reading that, I nominate Ryan Dolan. What a whiny cunt.
