Really looking forward to this and very optimistic about our chances although I wouldn’t be the biggest admirer of the coach, Mangia. We definitely got the easier group of the two where we are along with England, the hosts Israel and Norway. The other group looks much more difficult with Spain, Germany, Netherlands and Russia making it up.
We will probably miss a lot of the players who were impressive in qualifying with El Sharaawy, Verratti, De Sciglio likely to be off to the Confederations Cup and the possible inclusions of Roma duo Destro and Florenzi - I’d imagine the former is likely to go Brazil with the latter off to Israel. Nonetheless, I’m very confident.
Rocko, what kind of team will the Germans be bringing? Will players who are not fully established senior players like Kroos, Gotze, Schurrle, Gudongan and Draxler be travelling?
I suggest reports from the following people.
Group B
Rocko - Germany
The All Seeing Eye - Russia
chewy louie - Spain
Bandage - Netherlands
Preliminary Dutch squad looks strong with the likes of Strootman, Wijnaldum, Ola John, Fer and Luuk de Jong all included. Not sure how many will last to the final cut.
Oh and to answer your question in the first post Totti, I don’t think any of those, with the possible exception of Draxler, will be in the German squad.
Very strong team, only missing De Sciglio and El Shaarawy. Would have liked to have seen Bellomo as he has supposedly been very good in Serie B this year and has attracted the interest of a lot of the big clubs. Wouldn’t know an awful lot about many of those defenders but looking forward to see what they’ve got. We’ve easily got the best selection of attackers in this tournament. Having Verratti available is a massive boost.
Just had a look at the Dutch provisional squad there and it looks quite strong, especially at midfield with the likes of Strootman, Fer, Maher and Classie. Luuk De Jong is a quality player up front as well. Van Gaal rates the left back Willems very highly as well and has been first choice for the senior national team this year but hasn’t really figured for the 21s, they also have Daley Blind for left back

Can’t wait for Bandage 's report on them
Yes I picked out some of those names in my earlier post. It’s a very strong selection, though it remains to be seen how many will be remaining after the final cull.
Yeah, Van Gaal has blooded a lot of them after the disastrous showing at Euro 2012. Don’t know if he is the official captain but Strootman has captained the seniors a number of times in the past year
