2013 Lakeside World Darts Championships

Wolfie levels things up!. That’s why he’s the champion he is. We’re going all the way in yet another Lakeside classic.

Adams doubles are shockingly poor.

Look at those stats from Wolfie - 27 100s, 11 140+s, 4 180s, that’s the kind of standard required at this level.

But Jimmy goes one up in this final set!

What’s his average? This has been an appallingly poor game of darts.

Jimi one leg away! Wolfie must win the next two legs!

FFS Sid  , scores for show, doubles for dough.

No Sharon, no party :frowning:

Martin very magnanimous in defeat. Class act

Wolfie is out

Laughable Darts from the No2 seed.

Stunning scenes, and as Martin Fitzmaurice so rightly said at the end, a Lakeside classic.

Wolfie showed the class of a champion in defeat, as you’d expect.

The lone wolf just wasn’t the same player without his Sharon. As Bobby George says, he’s lost a lot of weight since his divorce and simply doesn’t have the power behind his darts anymore.

Credit again to Niels de Ruiter and the great work he’s doing with the Dutch Darts Federation. The production line just keeps rolling.

It’s incredible to think we’re on day 2 and Wolfie is gone. Hopefully that means we’ll be hearing a lot more of him in the commentary box. In fact all former champions have already been eliminated, which just shows the standard.

Jimi comes across as a really nice, unassuming lad in this interview.

Disappointing to see Scotty Dog Mitchell’s walk on was less flamboyant than in previous years but that will mean that he’s completely and utterly focussed on his darts.

Pretty shit? :strokechin:

Scotty Mitchell listens to his favourite music in the half hour before he’s called on stage. Bon Jovi, Kanye West and the final song he always listens to is “Do You Wanna Be A Champion” by heavy metal band “Saliva”.

Incidentally, Vassos Alexander asked Tony Green during that little vignette if he liked Kanye West.

“Love her”, says Tony

Statement retracted! This is shit yet again.

Phil Taylor’s BDO World Championship stats:
Played - 4
Won - 2
Win % - 50%

Phil Taylor’s Phil’s Darts Club World Championship stats:
Played - 20
Won - 14
Win % - 70%

It is unequivocally clear from those stats that the BDO has far greater strength in depth. We just witnessed an 18-year old Dutch raider take out the Wolf-man, while a 52-year old Taylor cruises to another fake championship.

Embarrassing stuff for Hearnites, like you.

Quit the wumming please, averages in games tell the real story regards quality & the BDO is well behind the PDC.

Do these lads practice at all like?

When was the last 9 Dart finish in the BDO by the way? Remembering now that there were 2 in the PDC championships recently. :strokechin:

Look what it means to Scotty Mitchell to finally win a match on the Lakeside stage. He’s in tears. A great character and one of the most popular men in darts.

Disappointing for Mark Barilli that his barren run goes on but he was very gracious in defeat.

Adams loses to a kid that averaged 78 ffs

And he was the number 2 seed.
