2013 Lakeside World Darts Championships

Thanks mate - is he suffering from “big” match nerves or is he always this shit ?

Horrible final,absolute turkey shoot.

Female bus passengers in India have got lesser doings than O’Shea here.

Is O’Shea bettering the boy George’ 3-dart average of 68 from the semi-final does anyone know?

It’s looking very bad at the moment but you never know. Think back to that amazing 2007 world championship final when Phil came back from 6-0 down to tie it at 6-6 against Wolfie. Possibly the greatest final of all time.

Interval after this set?

While it would have been great to have a cliffhanger, you just have to appreciate seeing the best player in the world in full flight.

Scotty is certainly 2 Hotty tonight.

This is reminiscent of Milan’s 4-0 Champions League Final victory over Barcelona in 1994.

Tony looks like he’s given it up already.
Scotty won’t let him back into it.

Is this really the best the bdo has to offer??

Richie George and then O’Shea.

No break until after 6 sets FFS they may aswell just keep goin pitiful affair,Scotty will hopefully join the PDC after this farce.

Delayed reaction from the crowd when Tony hit the 16s.
They all assumed he’d missed, so did I.

Is that the same Tony O’Shea who beat your twice pdc “world champion” Adrian Lewis at the Grand Slam of Darts less than two months ago?

Anyone in the PDC gutsy enough to step up to BDO level and take on Scotty Waites?

We’ve only had Tony Eccles so far. The rest of them are gutless.

“Surely if there is going to be any way back he has to break Waites here.”

Are these guys on commentary on drugs or what?

Has this rule of a break after the 6th set always been the norm in Finals? Very tough on the players when they are used to a break every second set throughout the tournament. I presume its to suit BBC timetables, if so then shame on the BBC :shakefist:

They are 100% correct and right in what they said

“He’s given Tony a chance, come on Tony, up the top. Double top.”

Thud.

O’Shea hits a five.

YES!

Tony claims the set.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again now:

Incredible drama at the Lakeside.
