The pdc are pleased to announce their new Director of Communications:
You genuinely couldn’t make it up.
Grand farce.
Do you think Phil Taylor will return to try and win another world title in the BDO before he calls time on his career Sidney!?
The curtain was drawn on this year’s (spectacular) tournament nearly 4 hours ago but Sandymount Red is still seething.
Why is he so angry? Have Sky Sports fooled him into believing darts was invented by Barry Hearn and the pdc?
He knows himself he wouldn’t have a hope of winning.
Bando what rubbish, we just witnessed a final with the winner having a 86.43 average. It wouldn’t be good enough to win a 1st round PDC match

Fair answer, especially if he saw the future of the BDO the boy George in action the other day!
I didn’t even watch the final mate, was getting my heart broken by the Seahawks instead :( After Flano clamped you the other night, I was just wondering when did you start liking the BDO? The comments you posted were pretty damning.
Richie Rich is the future of the game. That’s another great thing about the BDO - the constant infusion of supremely talented new blood, creating a brilliant mix with experienced older heads who still have what it takes to compete at the very top of the game like Wolfie, Tony and John Boy. You don’t see those three legends shamelessly walking off into the sunset to whore themselves on the seniors tour aka the Pensioners Darts Club.
Pensioners, incidentally, are treated with the greatest of respect by the BDO, hence the Chelsea Pensioners presence at the final for the 36th year running. Proud men who have served their country with honour and dignity.

That’s the brilliant thing about our championships being on so soon after the grubby fake version on Sky. We reclaim the great game and its noble traditions and showcase the very best of darts. Roll on the Dutch Open.
Must deal with that post of carryharry’s I reported earlier.
He looks in better shape than this poor sod.

Just chatting to Nat Coombs and Raymond Stubbs on Twitter about the championships. Great camaraderie between the three of us.
gutted for tony, he never got going at all. i hope tony doesnt’ end up
being the jimmy white of darts, still there always next year for silverback
to win :licklips:
Any forumites on for playing in the BDO championship next year? No experience required and you’re pretty much guaranteed a 1/4 final place.
Next year there will be 40 participants in the men’s championship. Yet you say everybody is guaranteed a quarter-final place. Now, anybody with even the most tenuous grasp of mathematics can see that if there are 40 participants and only eight quarter-final places, your numbers don’t add up.
We can work out the percentage of participants who will reach the quarter-finals using a simple equation. We divide the number of participants (40) by the number of quarter-final places (8). This gives a percentage of 20.
So written out in mathematical form: 40/8=20.
Since only 20% of participants will reach the quarter-finals, it leads me to believe you haven’t done your mathematical calculations properly. If somebody in a position of authority in your employer, which I believe is a large, well-known Irish bookmaking firm, saw this blatant and elementary miscalculation, I would fear for your chances of holding your job. You did study maths at school Flano, didn’t you?
No excuses. You need to either shape up or ship out.
I did no calculations. I was shitin out of me, you should know all about shitin.

Finally, Flano admits he’s been at the wind up on this thread all along.
All that remains is Sandymount and Dunph to do likewise and we can all move on in a spirit of harmony.
