2014 National Football League

Goal completely against the run of play for Laois. Armagh lead by 3, they have played some terrific football in this half.

HT: Dublin 1-10 Kildare 1-6. Darroch Mulhall has been very impressive for Kildare there. Missed a few frees but super scores from general play. Tomás O’Connor has given Seán George quite a torrid time and set up a lot of play but Dublin were fairly rampant otherwise.

Dublin 1-10 Kildare 1-6.

Some excellent points for Dublin by Cooper (2), O’Sullivan, McManamon and O’Gara. Goal by Andrews.

Splendid goal by Kildare as a result of good, quick long ball into the yawning space at the heart of the Dublin defence and an unstoppable finish by Darach Mulhall who looks a serious find for Kildare. They have finished the half well after being 8 down.

Sean George lucky not to get a black card after hauling down Paddy Brophy who would have been through on goal. The Dublin defence looks very porous.

I will speculate that Ciaran Kilkenny is gone for the year.

Armagh will be disappointed they are only 3 up at half time. They completely dominated Laois in the first half.

How was Hurley done for Kildare? He was outstanding against Tyrone last year.

Completely? Hardly, Laois lead 4-1 at one stage. Armagh are still quite poor, I’ve been saying it for sometime that they’re going nowhere fast and that doesnt like changing under McGeeney.

Armagh have completely dominated the game and the half time scoreline does not reflect that. This is also an Armagh team with a crippling injury list.

They were 4-1 down, ergo, they did not completely dominate. Laois are no great shakes, not a decent barometer of any team with notions.

The scoreboard is not the yardstick for dominance.

That wasn’t a black card.

+1.

Armagh and Laois arent awfully good teams. How fucking bad are Galway and Meath.

That Donie Kingston is very fat.

“Philly McMahon believed that he was being victimised.” Is there ever a time that Philly McMaho doesn’t believe that he is being victimised?

Kieran McGeeney is one incredibly dour joyless looking fucker.

What a talent Ethan Rafferty is.

That’s the third clear cut goal chance Kildare couldn’t take.

Fourth.

A goal for the impressive Stefan Campbell.

Laois having a decent spell but are shooting aimlessly.
