The #kerrykilla strikes again in Croker.
Barry John Keane is sporting a rather patch beard.
Kerry lead 0-5 to McMenanmininininininâs goal, all Kerry really.
And James O Donohue has ran at Dublin and buried a goal past Cluxton.
Fuckin hell Kerry are ripping doobla to bits here
Eoghan O Gara goals for Dublin, what a splendid footballer than man is. Heâs been a study in perpetual motion all night, fantastic finish.
He has in his hole. Nice goal though in what is a decent match so far.
Thought Dublin werenât going to show up at all when they were five down but they fought back well.
McManamon is causing them all sorts of problems. Costello hasnât had much possession but thereâs a mercurial genius there to see when he does have it. That set up for the McManamon goal was Peter Canavan-esque.
Think this may be one of the last times we see Alan Brogan in a Dublin jersey - he looks well off the pace.
James OâDonoghue is the best forward in Ireland at the moment. Ghosted past Fitzsimons for his goal. Overall I think Dublinâs stronger panel will probably see them through but still anybodyâs match. Good open match.
I note that the former Mr. Grainne Seoige is presenting the programme this evening rather than Eoin McDevitt. Perhaps McDevittâs recent involvement with RTE means that his involvement with Setanta is over?

Agree 100% The lad is lethal. Kerry in danger of fucking this away here though
Level in Derry now, very good game considering the conditions.
Great pass from Kilkenny:clap:
Well that game fairly fizzled out. Kerrys lack of experience counted against them, donât think they scored for the last 20mins but havenât lost too much in defeat seen as half the team they fielded are relative unknowns. Dubs had that bit more savvy about them when it counted, Costello getting inside Murpy to win the tapover free was the turning point, no surprise to see Murphy benched soon after. Fookall in Croker for it, what a shit rivalry
Galway team for tomorrow but if the weather in Navan is anything like here in Galway I doubt very much this game will be going ahead. Conroy should be playing MF and Greg Higgens should not be on the panel let alone the 1st 15
Galway (NFL v Meath) - Manus Breathnach; Donal OâNeill, Finian Hanley, Johnny Duane; Paul Varley, Joss Moore, Sean Denvir; Greg Higgins, Fiontan OâCurraoin; Gary Sice, Sean Armstrong, Paul Conroy; Shane Walsh, Michael Martin, James Kavanagh.
Subs: Nathan King, Eoin Walsh, Ronan Steede, Tom Flynn, Eoin Concannon, Cathal Mylran, David OâConnell, Damien Comer, Adrian Varley.
Hilarious to see the lads try talk up Alan Brogan there, as Sid says he looks miles off it. He might recover something, but as things stand, heâs miles off.
Dublins bench was the difference, but a very decent game all the same to open the league. Hard to judge the new rules too much yet as its only league, but definitely less pulling dragging and general shite acting. What did George do to get the line?
I think I heard them announce 26k as the crowd, which is decent enough considering the weather, or at least the predicted weather, presumably caused a good few to pussy out of going, such as myself. Would still prefer these games to go back to Parnell Park, because i) the atmosphere is much better there and ii) playing all these matches in Croke Park is a big advantage to Dublin come the championship.
Second half wasnât great.
The league is very important for Kerry this year. Iâd expect them to make up three of the last four along with Dublin and Tyrone.
I know he had 15 on his jersey, but did Stephen OâBrien actually start for Kerry? Two well taken points in the second half by him.
Costello looks special and the real deal
A killer for Dublin hurling folk to be watching former star minor hurlers like Costello, Kilkenny and Lowndes kicking ball tonight. What a hurling team Dublin would have if they stuck to the hurling
All over twitter that Paul galvin has retired
Was he on the bench tonight? I thought he was. Probably raginâ he didnât get any playing time, especially as it was the type of game where bringing on someone with his experience, not to mention âcutenessâ, might have made a difference to Kerry.
He announced before the game he was retiring and was replaced on the bench by some young buck
The bi location between Dublin and Kerry seemed to be an issue. He also took a bit of a roasting last weekend against Crokes playing 6 which may have had something to do with it. I imagine he tried to give as much as he could as a favour to Eamon Fitz but in the end the same fire just wasnât there youâd imagine.
He was a cunt but heâll be missed on the inter county scene all the same
He had a bit of flair to him, and wasnât boring thats for sure. Give me a Galvin over an âI supposeâ like Johnny Doyle any day of the week.
