2015/16 Serie A Season

Shaping up to be the best in a long time.

The two Milan clubs have splashed the cash and look like they will defeinitely improve on last year’s showing.

Roma have also done a lot of positive work on their attack and if they get a couple of quality full backs and some decent cover at centre back then they are in with an excellent shout.

Lazio have more or less kept their main players and added a few decent promising young player, still need a top striker for me though.

Juve have lost big players in Tevez, Pirlo and Vidal and while they have been replaced (with the exception of Vidal) it may take them time to settle. I think they will probably be stronger in attack this season but midfiled is definitely lighter without a top class addition (or two) in that area.

Napoli are an interesting one, under new management and I think there could be exciting times ahead, no realy big name signings but on the face of it they look like they have made a few shrewd buys.

Fiorentina’s market has been quite disappointing, losing Salah was a massive blow. Savic is a big loss too as he’s a very good defender, they’ve also had the likes of Aquilani and Pizarro depart on frees so they have had a lot of replacing to do and haven’t seen much money coming in for all these departures. In saying that, their pre-season has been very impressive and Sousa is also new to job, so I look forward to seeing how they go.

Sampdoria have just signed Cassano and it looks like Nagatomo and Balotelli could be arriving!

The seasons kicks off on Saturday week.

Predictions:

  1. Roma
  2. Juve
  3. Milan
  4. Napoli
  5. Inter
  6. Genoa
  7. Bologna
  8. Fiorentina
  9. Lazio
  10. Torino
  11. Hellas Verona
  12. Sampdoria
  13. Sassuolo
  14. Palermo
  15. Udinese
  16. Carpi
  17. Chievo
  18. Atalanta
  19. Empoli
  20. Frosinone

Top scorer: Dzeko/Destro

So Napoli, Milan and Juventus suffer opening day defeats, Inter need a last minute winner at home to Atalanta and Roma are held in Verona.

Serie A - the greatest league in the world.

Looking forward to having a look at the the new Milan tonight. They host Empoli and I expect a comprehensive victory for the home team.

Balotelli and Kucka start from the bench.

Poor enough start from Milan here.

Saponara really showing his true worth in the past 9 months, think he could be crucial for us in Euro 2016.

Great goal from Bacca to put Milan 1 up. Their build up play has been very ragged but the two strikers linked up really well there.

Saponara.

Terrible display here from Milan.

Looks like we really mugged Milan off in getting €20m for Bertolacci.

Juve losing 0-1 at home to Chievo. That would be 3 losses in a row for them!

Rotten cunts are going to screw me on my Saturday accumulator at the last hurdle. :rage:

We’re going to win the league, guys.

All 4 games in Serie A finished 2-2 today

Very even and competitive league.

Immensely exciting Milan derby ahead tonight at 7.45pm.

Sold out Milan Derby.

Luiz Adriano spurns a great chance early on.

Cracking start to the game in the greatest stadium in the world.

Adriano in again but blazes a more difficult opportunity wide. Milan’s front two are linking up well and looking dangerous.

Adriano runs in behind are killing the Inter defence, three times in the opening 17 minutes he has got in behind the Inter defence.
