I accidentally watched a match he played against Peter Wright one Saturday night on Setanta Sports a few weeks back (I couldn’t change the channel as the remote control had somehow got lost inside a Sunday Independent I’d found on a bus six days previously and which was still lying around the room).
I was impressed by his fighting spirit to come back from 8-5 down to win 10-9.
He has a good draw and has beaten Anderson* in a quarter-final of this tournament before.
*The next match on the bill that night saw Daryl Gurney beat Gary Anderson. They play each other next.
