I believe this point needs attention and acknowledgement from people on here who champion as a great. I am relentless in my pursuits.
Hardly need cynicism to beat those three in fairness.
That’s my point, Tyrone like the other big teams use cynicism when they need to. They wouldn’t be employing it against the likes of smaller teams who they will beat comfortably.
Non WUM post here, and don’t bother quoting anything I posted after the Tyrone-Monaghan match as it’ll only make you look like a simpleton.
Tyrone’s antics against Monaghan, particularly McCann, and in certain matches particularly over the last two years, have been a disgrace.
Are they the worst in the game for cynicism? Possibly. But there are a few others up there with them.
Are they paranoid? Damn sure they are.
Do they have a point about victimisation? Of course they do.
The truth as usual, is somewhere in the middle. Tyrone are bad but Kerry, Dublin and Cork have all done similar and have consistently escaped media censure.
Tyrone don’t do themselves any favours in how they play the media game but when it comes to applying the rules of the actual game itself they shouldn’t have to.
Kerry were probably the classier team in a general sense today, that’s to be expected as they have better players, but Tyrone had the chances to win, ripped Kerry’s defence to shreds several times, won the tactical battle and were blatantly on the wrong end of a terrible decision, which, had it been correctly ruled, would likely have resulted in a Tyrone win.
So ultimately, Tyrone were undoubtedly screwed today, and you’d have to imagine the media coverage did play a part in that happening, even if it only subconsciously affected Maurice Deegan’s mind.
Spot on. Every game should be reffed on it’s own merits but Tyrone have built up quite a lot of ‘badwill’ and it cost them today.
Christ don’t start him again on the Tyrone bad will
Fair fucks to Tyrone. Just like fermanagh, they came up to the capital and gave their fans a great day out. They may have got by far the weakest provincial champions in their quarter final but you can only beat what’s put in front of you, unless of course it’s a top team. It was a real carnival. They even let their comedy keeper have a few cracks at goal. Great stuff.
what was that we were saying during the week, if you are going to be at that shite, you need to be bringing it to the table. Ha shat the course, again.
But in all honesty, what the fuck was he doing coming up the field for that kick in injury time? Thats a management decision. Were they happy to take a point when 3 down and only 90 seconds left?
Cavanagh was seething with him after that final kick.
Morgan is a clown, he gave it loads today after kicking an aul free yet was responsible yet again for a skip load of opposition scores. He’s a fucking idiot. I was delighted for him today.
Donnachadh Walsh was interviewed on the radio afterwards and said they didn’t want to be beat on their own patch by Tyrone
Nailed it
McMahon doing that and McAlasky for the penalty finally reminded me of who Tyrone remind me of. Completely like Chelsea. Every free that was given, they were roaring and shouting at the ref or linesman. McAlasky ran about 20m away from goal to the ref for the penalty that was given. Arms outstretched roaring. Whilst obviously every player is going to shout and look for frees, the constant roaring and screaming every time, looking for cards is really grating.
McMahon pissed me off in the first half too. After Kerry got that wrong 45 decision, Donaghy I think, kicked a wide, and McMahon ran into the umpire and started waving his hands wide and shouting at him. Again, why the fuck? No need at all, and that kind of petulant bullshit pisses me off as much as anything. Same with pulling a player up off the ground. Regardless of whether Gooch over exaggerated the tackle or not, it made fuck all difference to the ref making a wrong call. It wasnt a black card offence, but definitely a yellow. I thought McNabbs was a red card offence, but I see others saying that Gooch was tripped so fell into the tackle?
Tyrone have a very good team. Their corner forwards are as good as any in the game right now. They are still missing a few key players, and more worryingly need to replace more key players, but they should be able to sustain their level at the moment.
Did you see Peter Crowley today or Cooper or O’Donoghue?
You hypocritical cunt.
go shit in a hat you over sensitive cunt.
Don’t like having your bias brought up do you?
fuck me, this lad isnt even from Kerry as far as I know yet is a blinkered as fuck
ah here, go fuck yourself. I had another post discussing Kerry, but fuck it, it’ll keep you thicker if I just leave it as it is.
There was always going to be a narrative to the defeat, the amusing part was waiting to see what it would be. He doesn’t disappoint.
could you imagine what would have happened if they won?
could you imagine what would have happened if they won?
we would have won if the ref didnt ride us
