Up Munster, fuck Ulster.
Your stats are out of context, Kerry created no goal chances, Tyrone had 4, not including the penalty or penalty claim. That’s chance of 27 points to 24 in Tyrone’s favour. We had the chances, we had the game played on our terms, we blew it.
Harte was very influential in creating our goal chances. Crowley disgracefully tried to get Cavanagh sent off in the 20th minute.
ah right, so you are arguing facts then? Kerry had more scoring opportunities, and never needed to go for goal. How many fist points did they score? In a goal scoring position but opted for a point? Why would they go for goal when they didnt need to? Context?
That’s the game in a nut shell… Kerry were in 3rd gear and picked off their points which was more than enough on the day. Fair play to Tyrone for raising their game, the sight of the green and gold does that, but Kerry dispatched them with relative ease.
They couldn’t create a goal chance. In points terms Tyrone had a higher scoring chance, if Tyrone and Kerry take their chances then Tyrone win, simple as that before we even look at the refereeing decisions which benefitted Kerry.
I’m not arguing facts, youre the one trying to distort them.
Kerry 0 Tyrone 5 in goal chances states one thing pretty clearly.
In the tactical battle, Mickey Harte made clean shit of Eamonn Fitzmaurice.
Lyneage, I believe it’s called in the family.
It was a huge victory for Tyrone. Just a shame it was somehow tainted by the defeat.
13 years late is one hell of a late tackle. McNabb should be banned for life.
Goals win games, apparently.
In general, they tend to. You’ll note that I didn’t say that goal chances win games.
That’s why Donegal beat Dublin last year.
Indeed. The team with the most goal chances usually win games, except when that time shits itself in front of goal and is outplayed all around the rest of the pitch.
If you’re conceding a plethora of goal chances and failing to create any yourself then it circumvents the notion of outplaying the opposition around the pitch.
I’ve yet to see a match where time shits itself in front of goal.
Indeed, that should be obvious to anybody who knows anything about the game. On this forum however, it would usually be folly to believe that you’re debating with such people.
As we know Nembo_Kid places huge emphasis on making the quarter final as the ultimate benchmark of provincial dominance. Over the last three years from the quarter final stage on, Donegal are the only Ulster side to record a victory over non-Ulster opposition (beating Dublin in last year’s semi final). The other eight meetings between Ulster and non-Ulster opposition from the quarter final stage onwards have all resulted in defeat for the Ulster representative.
Ok girls, that’s enough.
Dublin vs Mayo should be decent on Sunday.
Aidan O Shea has reinvented himself as Ciaran Mac. All signs point to him burning Croker to the ground on Sunday.
