2015 All Ireland Football Championship - FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE IT STOP

Only one game left this year.

In what way?

They imploded and brought Dublin on them. They were in total control. Dublin got a lucky goal and it went from there.

Cian Sullivan would be an enormous loss for dublin

Kev, you’re a touch blinded by your prejudices here.

The goal was both fortunate and brilliantly taken. There’s no way anyone looking at that second half would say it was luck that favoured Dublin or that Mayo deserved to win.

Dublin have problems but they were the better team for most of the two games and they were clear and deserving winners today. Don’t think anyone would be overjoyed at the prospect of facing them.

Well it’s disappointing, but you do get over it

And that boys is how you win a football match. UP DE DUBS

Gavin let Mayo run themselves out. Brought on his subs and Mayo couldn’t go with them. You cannot just say Dublin were lucky - fitness and a bench not luck

The intensity drop from Mayo after the goal was massive and hugely noticeable. Added to 2 really fortunate Dublin goals, albeit a really instinctive great finish from brogan, and the second was a definite free out, steps and incorrect hand pass. But regardless of that good fortune, Dublin would have won anyway. They were cutting Mayo open and finishing much stronger. Super goal from McMenamon. I don’t think Kerry are as strong as some think, and after those 2 games, I’d fancy Dublin to win it out now.

I feel it’s underrated on here how much of a retard you are

3-5 to 2 points :persevere: disaster.

Get ta fuck you boring cunt. @tazdedub is twice the poster you will ever be.

Wanker.

Kerry are, I know that for a fact. Kerry didn’t like the midfield match ups nor the backs Mayo have. They feel they can expose Dublin in certain sectors, viral sectors. They really struggled with them last year and have not forgot that.

I’M not saying mayo deserved it. They didn’t. They folded. They continued to make the same mistakes both on and off the pitch.

The dubs didn’t start playing till after the goal. They hadn’t played themselves into it, they were invited. And in fairness if you invite Dublin on they will kill you. If the dubs had been pressing for long periods up to the goal they you would say they had it coming. That simply was not the case.

I think k there was more in mayo but 2 quick goals sucked energy.

Not saying he Dublin victory was lucky, they saw a weakness and went for it. But mayo brought them on.

Gavin made use of his bench. Mayo made stupid changes, they ceded midfield to the Dubs the minute Moran went off, who was also covering back for the defence, and they switch him with a corner-forward?? Daft.
You could see Mayo thought they had it won after fifty minutes though, intensity went out like a light

Kerry are stronger now than in mid 2000.'s in some sectors.
There is definitely an element of leaving the middle open at times but they are masters at sorting out the match ups.

People always remember the last few minutes of a game or the team that played last. Dublin were well out of that game from half time to the goal.

A free out for 2nd goal and mayo could settle and recover. However it wasn’t goven

Baby they were born to lose.

But only for so long pal, a lot of that group are together 5/6 years now etc.

Mayo were goosed regardless I feel. Midfield was ceded completely to Dublin after their first goal.

In fairness, if Mayo felt that leaving Cluxton go short all day could win them a game then they got their just reward.

Mayo look more than rattled even if that goal was disallowed. The whole momentum was gone Dublin’s way and didn’t look like changing.

Agree to an extent on Kerry, they have shown they can tactically out smart opposition, but I just have a feeling that game, and how it finished will give Dublin a lot of confidence. The whole Connolly sequence of events clearly took it’s toll on him and he was completely out of the game. If he gets on form for the final it will be a huge boost.

Their fragility in the FB one will be exposed ruthlessly by Kerry. Can only see Kerry retaining Sam.

Kerry have their own defensive frailties. Could have makings of a classic

Yeah, or if Brogan had missed the first one or if McManamon had blazed his chance wide. Your blind spot has you convinced the first goal was lucky, the second was a foul (how you can tell from the angles we’ve seen I don’t know) and these weird external factors caused Mayo to lose.

Dublin created more goal chances all game, they showed better game management when they got their lead and they looked like they learned more lessons from last week. Mayo still had their kick out strategy against Cluxton wrong, they still had their tactics with AOS wrong and they still didn’t deal with Fenton running through the middle (which he did for 3 goals over the 2 games).
