I didn’t say that but without Maher there Kerry were getting pummeled.

Obviously, Maher is a superior midfielder to Sheehan and quietened O’Connor from the time he came on.

where did you find the stats on what Maher has scored?

News reports on the games.

Maher has scored a point each in games against Tipp, Cork (drawn game) and Tyrone.

Moran hasn’t scored to date.

i fail to see how shows that he is a better player, it’s lazy thinking to assume one midfielder scores more that he is superior.

I didn’t say that though.

Kevin said Moran was better because he scored more, has more assists and more possessions. I just pointed that he actually doesn’t, so even by Kevin’s logic - he’s wrong.

Maher is the best midfielder in Ireland this year by a long shot.

Jim McGuinness definitely has something stuck in his craw about Tyrone going by his latest article for The Times. He has been reticent to give the any sort of praise throughout the year to Mickey Harte and the team and seems to completely discount them in the coming years.

Seems to be a very bitter man and an egomaniac. I speculate his resentment towards Tyrone stems from the fact he will always be in Mickey Harte’s shadow when it comes to managerial achievements.

Still, in head to head championship matches between McGuinness and Harte, the score reads: McGuinness 3 Harte 0.

You’ve given huge emphasis to these sorts of statistics in the past, say when a team beat their main rivals in the three times they played them in a particular decade, despite their rivals having won more All-Irelands over the course of that same decade.

Why not now?

Very true.

McGuinness tenure with Donegal is over and the bottom line is Harte has three All Irelands and McGuinness has just the one.

McGuinness never had to beat a peak Tyrone side, he might have beaten Tyrone three times but it was a Tyrone side going through changes.

Tyrone are also a Croke Park team and a summer football team.

McGuinness also failed with Celtic.

How much are tickets going for for the final?

Dublin are box office.

In fact so are Kerry.

Dublin - Kerry is box office.

€80 mate. Please tell me you’re not talking about scalping tickets for our greatest day in the GAA?

I’ll accept offers of €3k for my ticket - upper Davin.

Upper Davin? Is that the best you get, oh dear.

I would give a ticket away to a cop to give to a worthy recipient rather than sell one to a tout or above face
