180’s all over the place
And 18s unfortunately
180 for Fallon.
Great stuff from fallon shes not given up
Magnificent commentary by Tony Green as Fallon hit that 180. The excellence of anticipation from the Voice of Darts. Reminiscent of his commentary on Paul Lim’s nine darter.
D16 at last for Fallon.
Fallon peppered the wire again there.
And Lisa is the champion.
“For Lancashire”
Fallon was very unlucky there she’ll be back
@Sidney can you look back at the record books and see if that’s the first world final where the winner missed every attempt at D20

Fallon can pepper my wire any day*.

Well played Lisa Ashton. She’d thrash Phil Taylor.
*I don’t even know what that means but it sounds like a double entendre.
Lisa young wan would get it
Why the boos for the old geezer ?
Phil Taylor in the 1995 WDC “World Championship” final against Rod Harrington although that obviously wasn’t a proper world final like this one.
Great to see Bob Potter and his wife on stage. Great and longstanding supporters of the game.
How much did the girls win?
5k for fallon
And they still stand at the exits to shake hands with everybody leaving Lakeside after each session. Wonderful people.
I thought it was lovely to see Scotty Mitchell relaxing in the audience and watching the Ladies’ final after his victory earlier. Nobody in the audience pestering him, just giving him the space to relax with family and friends. A proper darts crowd. Could you imagine that in the pdc? A player would need about 10 hired goons to venture into the bear pit that is the spectator area at the Alexandra Palace and even then they’d probably get pelted with beer and missiles.
Ahead of Wolfie’s eagerly anticipated semi-final with Duzza, here’s a few verses that I wrote about the great man:
Martin Adams, you have a fine beard
Often confused with our Gerry, that’s weird
Well not really I guess as you both look alike
But Wolfie’s more accurate throwing a spike
The England captain for two decades and more
Representing your country was never a chore
How proudly you wore the St George’s Cross
The BDO’s gain was the pdc’s loss
A true English great, and the pride of your sport
Unlike Bobby Moore you never saw court
Admired and respected wherever you go
You get the very best of order whenever you throw
When the split happened years ago you stayed loyal and true
To the BDO, Lakeside, it was all that you knew
And that loyalty and passion, it cannot be bought
You’re an absolute gentleman in deed and in thought
When you walk on the stage, like a wise old owl
The crowd they applaud and they scream and they howl
One of all sport’s most enduring sights
There’s just nothing to touch those great Lakeside nights
You struggled so long to win your first title
In the final against Phil Nixon, every dart was vital
You went 6-0 up, but almost let it slip
But you showed steely nerves, and you steadied the ship
A more popular win, it has rarely been seen
You were the King and Sharon your Queen
I was so sorry to hear that your marriage did end
The two of you always seemed to make the perfect blend
You do such great work with wolf conservation
Great work that I know is admired across the nation
Of England you symbolise all that is good
I hope it’s not long 'til you have the Knighthood
Marco Meijer in charge for the second semi-final so I’ll be expecting plenty of um umba a mateys.
Wolfie breaks throw first leg. Duzza has had better averages all week but when you’re playing the most decorated player in the game today it’s not as simple as just turning up and winning. Wolfie brings an aura that can unsettle opponents just by virtue of who he is.
