We’re onto New England.
Wolfie wins!!!
Serious drama.
I’m in tears after watching that.
I feel privileged.
Thank you Martin Adams.
Thank you Glen Durrant.
That was the greatest match in darts history.

Where are all the pdc rats tonight?
Wolfie the old master.
Got to feel for Duzza. How many doubles did he miss for the match?
My only regret is that it didn’t go to the very last leg, but you can’t ask for much more than 5-3 in the final set. Wolfie closed it out like a champion, five 60s wih his first six darts in the final leg, and a 13 darter finishing on his second favourite double 9.
I’ve never seen a player so broken as Duzza at the end. I want to hug him.
That was the greatest victory of Wolfie’s career. That was the greatest victory of any player’s career.
It was actually a 12 darter and a double 13 that gave Wolfie the match. My brain is all over the place.
A Limerick-like collapse from Duzza.
I so wanted to do it for Middlesboro!
Glen Durrant
An hour later and I’m still reeling from that.
I hope the Twitter message I sent to Duzza picks him up, even if only in a very small way as I know he’s devastated, you could see it on his face. But what a credit to the North Ormsby Working Men’s Club and to Middlesbrough he is. So many echoes of the GAA in his devotion to his people and his place.
I’ll be having a wager on Scotty tomorrow as Wolfie had to dig as deep tonight as he’s ever had to dig in his long and storied career. I’m certainly not writing such a magnificent champion off but I think he’ll find it very difficult to raise his game to the level we saw tonight from him.
I think that’s harsh, balbec.
It was a match which was razor close throughout. Duzza did miss three match darts alright but Wolfie won it rather than Duzza losing it, and Duzza’s 124 and bull finish to save himself at 3-3 was one of the most exhilarating shots I’ve ever seen. Wolfie closed that final leg out like a champion. Duzza would have had to hit a nine darter to win it.
BBC2 now
Just watched the closing legs back on BBC2. No way did Duzza lose that. He fought like the lion on the Middlesbrough crest, hitting a 140 and 134 to start off the crucial leg he was broken in, and smashing in a 180 in that final leg. Wolfie won it. Two warriors of the oche and they’ll never know how much they entertained us.
Lovely to see the Chelsea Pensioners at the Lakeside for this evening’s final, as always. Great, great men.

Is that a bunch of surgically enhanced ladies lowering themselves by dancing around nearly naked to appeal to the hooligan crowd?
From Britain to the world, live on the British Broadcasting Corporation and British Telecom Sport, it’s the British Darts Organisation World Championship final.

Let’s go.
I’m tentatively predicting a 7-5 victory for Dorset’s Scott Mitchell.
Wolfie straight in with a 180.
