Bit rich coming from the man who is throwing Cork this and Cork that about everywhere. I was just correcting your assertion that Tyrone was more rural than Mayo.
Anyways I’ve cited Louth, Armagh, Tyrone and Derry as counties who struggle to draw from urban areas in terms of proportion.
How many of the Cork panel play for clubs from the city? Is it proportionately represented in terms of numbers?
When you ever get the better of me in an argument I’ll be the first to let you know.
This isn’t even an argument. You are just throwing out random stuff that has little or nothing to do with the entire discussion. Stuff i don’t care about.
This is not random, this is how you construct an argument.
As usual, you are always Billy Big Balls when it comes to coming on here shouting about how you are a know it all on everything but when it comes to putting anything substantive behind what the little voices in your head tell yo then all you have got is a standard exit strategy bluster or insults. I have stated my case, I have backed it up with facts and connected them to my point. You have got to stage where you realise you’ve made a complete ass of yourself, where you can backed yourself into a corner with nothing to aid your argument so decide to pull the Kev routine.
“I’m right even though I have not offered any basic rationale for how I’m right. You’re an insecure idiot who lives a very sad life.”
Go on, fuck off and run away again, I’ll put you back in your box next time you feel you need to justify your hilariously miscalculated hubris.
Cork is the 3rd biggest urban area on this island. Its also one of the competitive football teams. So its somewhat comparable to the initial discussii because bar the very odd exception its the only place like Dublin with Super Clubs.
Most of what i say about Cork is actual criticism, so its not like i’m bigging it up.
Cork had around half their squad from urban areas.
What are you even talking about?
It’s not comparable.
Dublin is unique to Ireland in terms of it’s population density.
I’m talking about Cork City. Name the players from Cork City clubs that were on the Cork football panel last year.
What do you consider urban? I’m talking about reasonable catchment areas. To my mind Cork City is the only urban area in County Cork with a population upwards of 20k.
Anything below that is small to medium sized town and not really pertinent to the discussion
Your trait of running away from discussions when your bullshit has been exposed and you back into a corner. You do this by hurling insults and offering standard exit strategy posts like the above.
There is no discussion. We all left this hours back.
You are on your own.
Oh did you finally admit you hadn’t a notion what you were talking about?
“An urban area is a location characterized by high human population density and vast human-built features in comparison to the areas surrounding it. Urban areas may be cities, towns or conurbations, but the term is not commonly extended to rural settlements such as villages and hamlets.”
A common description from google of what an urban area is, this from National Geographic.
At guesstimate that would make 250-300,000 of Corks 500,000 Urban. On that basis 18 of the 30 named senior panalists for Cork are urbanites. And that matches population.
Now none of this is really relevant to the need for more gaa clubs, pitches and municipal facilities in certain populated areas of ireland.
Are you the one who did not realise that Government departments get their own budgets, and that the GAA has huge wealth and that the GAA and councils are already ear marking aome of the exact same places i’m talking about for further development?
Turn off the phone for a while.
No, I think it was that you did not understand that budgets are allocated to each department depending on the needs and imminence of such not just on set figures. You should try and stick to the facts and not the imaginary thoughts in your head.
I asked about Cork City, I’m not interested in the shit hole little dirt path towns in county Cork… How many of the panel hail from Cork City? That was the question - address it and stop detouring around it.
Awww diddums, sad to see you dragging your petted lip around the forum with such a damaged self esteem.
Bad day at the office for you, pal. It happens the best of us.
Not me, pal. I’m not the one who is going around on a sulk because he had his brown nosing manner brought to attention.
Scoot along now, you’re only sulking.
Find out for ypurself ya useless cunt.
Again, the discussion was about urban areas. I clarified what most of the world considers urban. If you want different parameters for yourself then you are going to have to talk and discuss with yourself.
