Woah fella. What if the game clashed with a Horse Racing Meeting or EPL or Italian Soccer match? What then, eh?
What way is the hurling draw set after the provincial finals is it Munster champions play Galways champions this time around? Cuala will beat a poor Oulart and would hammer Cushendall if the draw is that way the Munster winners still have very hard work ahead.
Why don’t they show it on the national broadcaster?
I guess the lads will have to come onto the internet and get it off their fannies.
is it not every second week? live hurling one week, live football match the next where possible?
Not sure but you would think the way forward would be to show the best game on that day.
I appreciate this would mean there would be very few live hurling games but people would just have to deal with that and avoid the score if they want to watch the deferred coverage.
Munster v Leinster I reckon.
Leinster is the strongest province in hurling, Ulster the weakest province in football. Sensible call.
Ulster have the second highest number of All Ireland club titles by province, I think you may want to rethink that one.
Leinster have the highest number of All Ireland club hurling titles by provinces. Leinster currently have the All Ireland senior hurling champions at both intercounty and club level.
Connacht and Leinster have both produced All Ireland club football winners since Ulster last produced a winner. In terms of All Ireland’s won, Munster like they are at senior intercounty football are also by some distance the most successful province at club level.
A Leinster club hurling final or an Ulster club football final, its a no brainer that the Leinster club hurling final will be shown live.
Carlow.
The Sars- NaP game looked like a cracker.
Top Club hurling is far better than IC to watch.
@glasagusban - who coaches NaP, they are a slick team. Some serious skill in them
Alan Cunningham, Aaron Cunningham’s father I believe is coaching them this year. A serious skills coach
He’s earning his corn there anyway thats for sure.
@Big_Dan_Campbell got there before me. He’s well spoken of alright. Two former players as manager and selector with him. There’s a couple of very skilful players coming through from underage every year though, my father flagged Peter Casey when he coached him when he was 10.
Ya they are quite expressive for a modern team, and certainly easy on the eye. Themselves and Cuala seem (off a handful of viewings) quite similar. NaP are big as well though.
Very tough for Thurles though and i’d say they were drained by the end, the zip seemed to be gone. Understandable really.
Will a Limerick side ever have a better chance of winning a club All-Ireland as Na P have this year. They’re 9/4 favorites but to win it from here they’ll have to beat Ballygunner, Sarsfields/Craughwell of Galway and then Cuala/Oulart/Cushendall. Its there for the taking really and would be a great boost to hurling in Limerick but I can’t help but feel they’ll manage to fuck it up somehow.
Yeah Thurles must have been exhausted. They certainly faded in the second half. Good to get the win with Dowlng and Downes both contributing little enough from play. Breen to come back in should strengthen the Na P defence if they get past next weekend.
It would be so unlike a Limerick team to do that.
They are significantly better than Ballygunner.
Cuala and/or Galway champs you would imagine would be biggest barrier. All things considered kike experience, size, scoring power etc NaP are rightfully favourites.
County history rarely affects clubs too much.
