2015 Summer Transfer Window Thread

Hmmm. Carrick, Schweiny, Blind, Herrera, now Schneiderlin. Lot of players for 2, maybe 3 slots when new CB and striker badly needed. Probably betting on Carrick and Schweiny being injured a bit. Herrera, Mata, Di Maria, Januzaj probably looking at a lot of time on the bench. Interesting to see how that works out.

I expect to see a bit more rotating now that European football is back.

Schneiderlin confirmed. Assume that Jordi Classie to Southampton will be confirmed in the coming days

He is far better tham any striker outside the top 3/4 teams have.

Would Kane be in the first 11 if he joined ?

He would play 9 and Rooney in the 10 position.

I really liked what I have seen of him in recent times, superb reader of the game, great tackler and very aggressive. He’s a couple of years younger than Ramos as well.

£49 million for a wantaway whinging fuck seems like okay business to me.
Has the attributes to be a great player, but he certainly ain’t one currently. Just as likely to turn out useless.

He is this generation’s Shaun Wright Philips.

Not sure he will care though - £50m contract takes him to 25. Likely to end up with career earnings of £100m plus.

Unreal.

Sterling has the potential to be a top, top player but he’s the sort that could just as easily throw it all away. Himself and Manchester City don’t look to be a particularly good fit, in my view.

Whoever is responsible for the United adidas deal is really pissed off he didn’t buy up the July part of the Nike contract right about now given all these new signings are flowing in before August

€35m for Schneiderlin?

That’s bonkers.

Am happy sterling is gone. He was like a black cloud hanging over the squad. 50 million is alot for a player who hasn’t proved it consistently and seems to come with baggage. Maybe he will improve with age.

As for Liverpool, hopefully they have learned their lesson from last summer and spend the money on quality and not quantity.

Get over it.

Racist.

Carlitos Tevez back to Boca confirmed.

He had a falling out with him the first time he was there did he not? I recall him playing against Celtic in a pre-season friendly in the US a long time back and there was some controversy around him then but maybe it was just about his proposed move to Corinthians.

Tevez is a great player in my view but is completed nuts.

Here’s the crowd to welcome him back:
