Tevez was/is a fucking LEGEND at Boca. That Copa Libertadores semifinal 2nd leg against River at the Estadio Monumental back in what was, like 2003 or 2004? Man what a fucking legend. Scores a cracker, and then goes and taunts the River fans doing a chicken dance. And gets sent off. I think Boca finished with like 8 players. One of the greatest games of soccerball I’ve ever seen.
I give it 6 weeks and she will be back looking for a new club.

Stephanie Roche has signed a 2 year deal with Sunderland.

She should slot in well with Lee Cattermole.
Mario Gomez to sign for Besiktas.
Ron Vlaar to Lazio on a free.
Lazio also hoping to sign Ricardo Kishna and have apparently agreed a deal with the player but now need to negotiate a fee with Ajax. He’s quite highly rated from what I’ve read.
The Turks are spending big this summer.
A lot of talk of Man Utd coming in for Benteke.
While I think he is overpriced I think he is an very good player and Liverpool needed to just get it done. But they look like losing out again.
Vidal heavily linked with Bayern this evening.
I don’t think it would be the end of the world if utd got benteke at that price. Maybe lacazarette would be a better signing
Reus being linked again on Twitter.
Christian who?
Benteke averages a goal ever two games in the premier league for Villa but seems a bit streaky and picks up a fair few injuries too. Wouldn’t buy him at 32 million.
Just read he’s on 80k per week, a hundred grand less a week than sterling. The EPL is getting dangerously close to shark jumping
€40m which is a decent fee. Not sure Vidal is a good fit with Guardiola’s style of play though.
Juve have good options in midfield anyway, I feel they would be best served buying a no.10 type player with that money. There’s been quite a bit of upheaval there already this summer.
They should have quite a bit of money to play with. They’ve spent about €80m this summer so far but with the sale of Vidal will probably have taken more than that in and a few more players like Isla and Llorente to probably shift on.
On the other hand they have lost three very important players over the past two seasons - Vidal, Pirlo and Tevez.
I don’t think so either. I think I’ve generally rated him higher than you but he’s not the sort of player to just sit in midfield stroking the ball about. Not sure what his injury record is but he seems to be out an awful lot in recent years, is that true or does he just happen to be injured at times I see Juve? If he is injury prone then it makes even less sense to replace Schweinsteiger with him.
Bayern did want him for a few years - they aren’t happy when they lose out on getting someone from the Bundesliga and maybe this is more about their arrogance than anything.
I don’t think he misses that many games with injury, he does pick a fair few cards up so possibly suspensions sometimes and the fact that Juve have great depth in midfield means they can rotate and rest players.
Milan have bid €25m for Alessio Romagnoli, that’s a lot of money for an unproven player but Mihajlovic clearly rates him. I’m in two minds as to whether Roma should accept this or not.
Liverpool FC on the brink of completing Christian Benteke £32.5m move from Aston Villa

Reds have decided to trigger the release clause in the Belgium international’s contract
Liverpool are on the brink of completing a £32.5million deal for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.
The Reds have decided to trigger the release clause in the Belgium international’s contract and he’s set to become the second most expensive signing in the club’s history.
Liverpool have been chasing Benteke all summer but had previously been unwilling to pay the asking price.
With Villa desperate to keep hold of Benteke and unwilling to negotiate on the price, a stand-off had developed in recent weeks but the impasse has now been broken by the Reds.
Assume Villa will go and spunk £15 million on Charlie Austin now
I thought that might be the case but from what I’m hearing now there is no interest whatsoever. Apparently Austin has 2 very dodgy knees and is only a light tackle away from his career being ended.
Hopefully villa reinvest the money on Praet ,Embolo and another striker add them to the signings of Gueyue Amavi Richards and Sinclair and the Villa squad will be in a better place. Replacing Bentekes goals will be very difficult though. He is far better than Liverpool and will begone from them in 2 years in similar fashion.
