That is a career ended for kovacic. Should stay at inter and develop on a bit more.
I don’t think they’d sell Kovacic only they need to balance the books after their summer spending. €35m is a good return for him considering he hasn’t really set the world alight in Italy, Madrid are paying that for potential rather than what he’s done yet.
It’s the young Italian players they dispense of without giving a proper chance to that is the most baffling. They’ve got rid of the likes of Benassi and Crisetig this summer for modest fees without ever giving them a proper chance in the first team. Biraghi and Bianchetti are better than some of their options in defence but have never been give ago. They sold off Bonucci and Destro (and others) for modest fees who were highly thought of in Italy at the time as well who went on to be full internationals and they were sold without ever been awarded a chance in the first team.

Agreed. He’s still more about potential than anything and making a big profit on a player who hasn’t really imposed himself yet is good business.
