Supposedly there’s a deal being done for €60m for some french wonderkid at Monaco called Martial. Monaco want Rojo as well apparently.

Martial has a sick amount of potential. Monaco don’t want or have to sell So Utd would be paying massively over the odds. Think Chelsea were rebuffed with a £50m offer already this summer.

Anthony Martial s’est présenté ce lundi à 11h00 au rassemblement de l’Equipe de France à Clairefontaine. Il a sollicité auprès de Didier Deschamps l’autorisation de se rendre en Angleterre pour y signer un contrat avec Manchester United.

Compte tenu des circonstances exceptionnelles, le sélectionneur a accédé à la demande du joueur.

Anthony Martial a quitté Clairefontaine ce lundi à 12h00. Il sera de retour mardi matin.

Translation:Martial on the way to United. Definitely don’t need another winger. Not for the 50 mill being discussed. LVG must see a bit of Thierry in him. The whole game’s cowped.

EDIT: £36 million I’m told.

He’s a bit more attacking than a standard winger in fairness from what I’ve seen of him. Don’t think he solves their #9 problem really though.

The transfer policy has been guided by potential sell on value or the chance of getting any of the initial outlay back in the future.

Hence the inflated price for an unproven potential talent. Less wages as well I’d imagine.

Talk in France is €60m plus €20m in potential add ons. That’s really good business by United and not in any way a knee jerk panic buy. They should bid €90m for John Stones now.
