Yes. Where’s he off too? Thought he had committed to Hoffenheim but that could have a different player at a different club in a different country in a different sport.
Liverpool have allegedly agreed a deal
Johannes Geis has signed for Schalke. He was widely expected to be following Teuchel to Dortmund. Looks an excellent prospect and would have filled some of the expected Gundogan void for Dortmund.
Schalke now have some list of young German stars: Meyer, Draxler, Goretzka, Sané… and now Geis - they just can’t find a management team to come close to holding it all together.
Good for both parties. Ramos will pretend to want out and get another €50k a week in a new deal. United will insist that Ramos is part of any deal for De Gea knowing full well it won’t happen so Real will eventually throw another €10m at United to push the deal through without Ramos.
Ramos never struck me as a good defender, I couldn’t see him doing well in the Premiership.
Go home, you’re drunk
Yes very impressive work so far. Defence looks solid with Miranda and Murillo in, could do with a left back though, someone like Kolarov would be perfect. And they could also do with a big signing in attack and possibly another winger as well but they’ve done a good body of work, they just need to throw out some of the deadwood now and they can start to think big.
I would hope they don’t make the same mistake as they did with Coutinho and let Kovacic go, hasn’t quite hit the heights yet but he’s so young and talented that he’s bound to come good.
They were far too impatient with Coutinho alright. I’m hearing they’re after Salah too.
I really hope it isn’t a case of robbing Peter to pay Paul if they are going to sign some very good players and then let some of their brightest stars leave so they can afford them. That was a hell of an outlay for them on Kondogbia, who I think is an excellent player but it’s rumoured they spent in the region of €30-40m on him and his wages are €4-5m a year net.
firmino to Liverpool £18m
Will be interesting to see how often they play him/Coutinho. Will they try and play them both?
Two of them behind Sturridge maybe. Can Sturridge stay fit. Decent signing which probably means Sterling is going
The talk now is the fee is £29m. That’s an awful lot of money for him.
Depends on what Sterling is going to go for. Lot of money but about time invested like that if that what was needed to get him
Well I don’t think the fee they get for Sterling will change whether £29m is a lot of money to pay for Firminio or not.
But I take your point, if you’re a Liverpool fan you want them to be spending that sort of money to buy promising players and what should anyone care what that costs?
Firmino signing takes Rodgers over the 300 million mark spent on transfers.
What? Over what period?
