Federer is in exceptional form. Hasnāt dropped a set or even a service game in getting to the final, a feat he didnāt even manage in his peak years when reaching his previous six US Open finals from 2004-09. Heās won 28 straight sets of tennis since the Championship at Wimbledon and between Cincinnati and Flushing Meadows has won 132 of his last 134 service games.
Would be great if Federer wins this. He needs to.win the first though.

Finally under way after a near four hour rain delay. Federer saves three break points very first game to hold serve but Djokovic has broken now to go 2-1 up. This could be over very quickly.
Djokovic wins in four 6-4 5-7 6-4 6-4
Funny sort of a match. Donāt think either player was at their best. Turned on the 3rd set where Federer had looked the best player for most of it but had it pinched off him. Djokovic was a double break up at 5-2 in the 4th but just about fell over the line having to save 3 break points in the matching winning game to prevent Federer from levelling it up at 5-5. Federer had a staggering 23 break points in the match but only converted 4 of them. From 13 break points, Djokovic converted 6.
10th Grand Slam for Djokovic. He is so far ahead of the pack, Iād be surprised if he doesnāt catch and overtake Nadal & Sampras on 14 and he could get close to Federerās mark of 17.
