Damien Lawlor said it during the sky coverage- O Shea did two making space sessions with him one on one. It certainly didnât hurt Callanan anyway.
Very forward thinking by both O Shea and Ryan.
Nightmare to defend against. The cunt is behind you and makes a dart to the area he âknowsâ the ball will land in.
Daithi Burke managed him though, he literally stood on Seamie toes and managed to mind the square successfully until he got dragged to the wing by Callanan. The first goal Tipp scored against Galway was pure luck though, I watched in slow motion a few times⌠but the key thing was for once Burke was caught the wrong side of the play.
Space cannot be created or destroyed merely changed from one place on a pitch to another.
Fuck me
I must remember that one the next time the wife accuses me of trying to hog the whole of the bed.
Tommy Walsh and canice were similar. As soon as Walsh won the ball, and he was as good a fielder as ever played the game, canice would move forward and Walsh would fire it into the space in front of him. Canice was moving ahead of his marker as he knew what was coming.
Daithi Burke was absolutely brilliant. The Galway backs as a whole were.
I watched daithi Burke closely enough. There was nothing off the ball or illegal. Just defending of the highest quality.
He was practically impeccable this year, easily one of the top few hurlers in the country.
Best defender in the game by a mile .
Ronan Maher had a serious year for a guy so young, Burke was immense but what Maher did in games THAT counted see him above all others IMO.
Ronan Maher is top drawer and a better technical hurler but as a man marker Daithi Burke is awesome .
Iâll go with the lad who won an AI medal recently, thanks for your input though.
Thatâs the best post you ever made
By that rationale Dan McCormack is a better forward than Joe Canning too!
Didnât Daithi destroy Callanan, hurler of the year elect, in the semi?
It doesnât take long for the Tipp crowd to become insufferable. Cunts.
To the victors the spoils. They can walk all over the rest of the hurling world for the next few months with impunity.
Dumb
I donât know mate. Three episodes into it and my early optimism has waned a little. JJ is genuinely insightful and is the best thing about the show. They have to drop Hayes. Couldnât believe how bad he was on the latest edition. Rambling, nothing answers that are barely connected to the topic at hand. If they can replace him with someone good it would probably be worth tuning into alright.
I think its still a step up on the others though. I was quite wary of it at first, but I think its definitely got potential. Granted its most likely over for the year now. Will see how it goes in the new year perhaps. Hayes is an odd one alright.
