They wonât learn from 2010 when Woodlock was mouthing off about five in a row on an open top bus. Iâve already seen chatter online from chips abroad talking about booking hotels for next year.
I listened to one episode and thatâs exactly how I felt. Hayes is all cliches and not the least bit articulate.
Hayes said last week that Cody will be telling Joey Holden that his main job is keep Callanan from scoring goals and donât mind if he picks off a few points
To be fair, 13 points is quite a deal more than âa fewâ.
Well at least in that instance he was just wrong. Normally he never produces any statements that have that level of clarity to them.
Yeah, is there for some form of roaster entertainment factor? He adds nothing and goes off one weird tangents that rarely address the question he was asked. He could also make the effort to at least dial in from a room with better acoustics also.
Donât take it so bad buddy. Weâve havenât won back to back since 1964/65, three in a row since 49,50,51. Weâve never done 4 in a row or 5 in a row, roll on 2022, Iâve locked the Burlington into a fixed rate for the 1st Sunday in September for the next four years, the hurling world will bow to our brilliance.
I have no doubt he is multitasking in the background whilst JJ is giving his spiel.
Did they ever get rid of the large field of aging cars?
Heading
Missed the final last Sunday so just watched the first half there now.
Aside from John OâDwyerâs lineball point and Callananâs quality score when he took a high ball down one handed the hurl, the standard was very poor.
What was the story with it being reported as a classic?
From the opening throw-in Walter Walsh scuttered a shot wide. TJ Reid scuttered one wide. McCormack had two bad wides. OâDwyer knocked one wide from 25 yards out centrally. Callanan duffed a free. Kilkenny gave away 4 or 5 points by defenders / midfielders giving the ball away coming out of defence.
I presume it picks up from here. Hurling is seriously in trouble.
It was by no means a classic, donât bother with the 2nd half, it was a procession
an ecumenical matter from hayes?
it was a shite game. tipp lorded it all over the field. a massacre, from tipp. cody is seething i know its bollox getting wiped by tipp but imagine it to cody in an ai finalâŚ
Barely made it through the second half there - a veritable snoozefest.
I think we can safely conclude that the great JJ Delaney, Tommy Walsh (pronounced âWelshâ apparently) and Michael Fennelly won pretty much all those All Irelands for Brian Cody*.
I enjoyed watching John McGrathâs display.
*Heâll have an asterisk beside his name forever more after his failure to make any full backline changes.
Tipp won by 9
Overs or unders
Woodlock wasnât part of the All Ireland winning panel in 2010. Any idea how he managed to blag his way onto the open top bus?
To think you were so fervently hoping for a Kilkenny v Tipperary final before the semi finals. Waterford v Galway could hardly have been any worse on quality than that.
Codyâs impression of Nero fiddling while the full back line was burning was the worst display of dithering Iâve seen on the sideline with a full back line in trouble since Christy Keogh failed to switch John OâConnor and Ger Cushe in the 1993 Leinster drawn final after Kilkenny switched Eamon Morrissy and PJ Delaney.
Think he broke his leg in 3 places earlier in in the year. Worked his way back to be in extended panel. I thought it was a nice act of solidarity anyway that he was part of it.
