KK simply matched Corks tactical set up and were mentally ready. No doubt they were the better hurlers.
Really disappointing to see the drop in discipline. Cork did everything they normally donāt.

I think all us astute observers of sport at all levels, knew from as early as that handshake, that Cork were in trouble here. A latent realization of their lack of preparedness manifesting itself in bully girl behaviour.
They knew they were fucked and it just needed Kilkenny to shaft them thereafter.
Certainly an indication of a poor mindset
KKās fielding of the ball throughout the game was very good.

Corkās pre-match shenanigans set the tone for what followed. An undisciplined, narky and petulant display. Fair play to Kilkenny for the excellent second half performance in particular. They also werenāt intimidated by Corkās physicality throughout and intermittent dirt and let their hurling do the talking.
Poor Thompson. I hope sheāll be OK.
