*I watched the intermediate final from the 38th to the 45th minute and again from the 59th minute until full-time. I watched the senior final from the 49th to the 49th minute and again from the 61st minute until full-time.

Ah fuckin great. Fair play to them. A serious monkey off the back of Kilkenny camogie. 6 final losses in 22 years.
This will give everyone a lift. The camogie team kept us going during the 83-92 famine.

If the Queens are about to embark on another era of dominance after ending the 22 year wait, its a real harbinger of recessionary times for the Tom Cats. Of Kilkenny’s 12 senior camogie titles between 1974 and 1994 (now 13), only the first win in 1974 coincided with a Liam McCarthy Cup double.

Cork senior and intermediate panels do the bulk of their training together. Something like 14 players overlap both squads. Same management.
KK, totally different panels, management etc, one feeding totally into the other. Seems to be the way to go

Thats not true. Teams train one after the other. 2 seperate sessions. Bar manager 2 seperate selection teams also. Only fitness and 1 coach did both sessions.

You cannot say one better than the other based on one day. Cork won last year cos of their system. Lost 13 players from previous year. We destroyed KK last year with said system.

This year Ann Downey matched the preperation and expertise and Cork underestimated KK’s mental improvement. That was the difference.
