That was the match where Kelly, McGrath and Cummins were dropped. Someone mentioned him earlier for his efforts against cork but Daragh Hickey had a stormer for Chip the same day against Wexford.
Because he was picked by Babs however he never got a look in again. Chip preferred to persist with dross like Webster rather than admit Babs got a few things right.

Hickey was on the 08 panel. He didn’t make the matchday team for a game that year (either league or Munster final) and refused to do the water and hurleys. Never made it back after that
I had two lovely pints of stout before the match last weekend in Gills. You could beat @Brimmer_Bradley down Jones’s Road in front of you as you make your way to the park then.

In a way that I’m happy enough with that. If Niall or John can’t hack the pace of it then Bubbles is a serious man to be calling on. The flip side is it gives the 2 lads serious motivation to shoot the lights out knowing who’s on the line wait for his chance.
