Correct, there seems to be a legitimate question over the way Hawk Eye is set up in Croke Park.
I have watched this back on Sky Plus a few times. The umpires waves a point and played on, the Hawkeye alerted the ref of an issue.
At 68 minutes into todayâs game, the illustration clearly shows the ball is inside the posts, slightly clipping the inside of the virtual blue line. Hawkeye awarded a Nil.
there is a touch of the emperorâs new clothes about Hawkeye where everyone is just going along with this?

Was the ball above or below the top of the post? Thereâs one big red flag. If it were below the top of the post then it should have hit the fucking post and defected somewhere, maybe off the keepers helmet into the goal.
Hawkeye is suspect lads. Not as suspect as an umpire but has its own set of issues.

How can you be sure? Because Hawkeye said so? It looked well below to me (real not virtual). Maybe the height of the posts algorithm is wrong. Both post and ball are virtual, if Hawkeye determines a ball below the actual top of the post clipped the virtual post, is it a NIL?
This needs to be cleared up imo before next weekend.

Is the blue line supposed to be above the post? I have no problem if the ruling is NIL if the ball hits that line, at least itâs consistent. But, to me the actual shot looked below the post. Anyone got a picture I wonder?
