Ah ya, itâs a thing of inches not miles as they say, but those inches would have made the difference yesterday.
Oh it is.
Ha, outting yourself that you have a personal hang up on me.
You sad cunt. Its an internet forum.
Sorry, pal. Must be that male Irish weakness in me. #commonaffliction
Like players and managers, refs performances are fair game.
And club team trainers?
That depends on what is being discussed. If talking about decisions during a game I wouldnât think so. If youâre reviewing a teams performances at the end of the season then yes, I question all involved.
I went shaking the refs hand after a hurling match last night and he said âare you finished roaring at me so?â
In my defence the cunt deserved every bit of it.
They all do ⌠Itâs part of the game.
It takes a certain kind of mentality to enlist to be a referee. Be a nice second income though, Iâve often thought about it. Donât think I could stick it, I prefer being the roarer than the roaree
I thought about doing soccer alright ⌠Might do yet when I canât play any more which is not far off with my back
Soccer would be handier alright, a lot less grey areas. Underage soccer would be the way to go, although youâd have the parents to deal with then.
It was well wide, I was right behind it
That, and steps, are being blatantly ignored by refs.
Having no wides is not an indication that they played well. It means that they were winning fuck all ball
Someone mentioned Gleeson as being the best proponent of the sideline cut EVER on TFK earlier this year. He has scored some great ones but heâs equally likely to spray the ball well wide. It was a fairly ludicrous claim. When they go wide, they often go well wide with a big slice. His effort near the end wasnât quite like this but it was comfortably wide at the near post. He sprayed 3 or 4 wide against Wexford in the league quarter from the right hand side - a couple were halfway between the right hand post and the corner flag. It could be his technique of hitting the ball twice as exclusively revealed by @glasagusban. () Heâs an incredible talent though*. I noted that he was the deepest Waterford player (behind Coughlan and De Burca) when Fogartyâs equaliser sailed over from halfway.
*Gleeson, not glasagusban.
Think that was me. He is just as likely to hit it wide as over as they all are really but every time he steps up to take one itâs almost guaranteed itâs going to go about 70 yards which is what I was getting at . He did hit one bad one yesterday which is the first time Iâve seen him hit a bad one Iâd say
On Newstalk listen back hereâŚ
