2016 Munster League, O'Byrne Cup, Walsh Cup, and other lesser Provincial Competitions Thread

While the boys are still discussing Crokes and the future of GAA in urban areas, a small reminder that there actually GAA being played today. Laois and Meath 7 each in Navan in a decent enough game here so far.

UCD 0-11 Laois 1-7 in the WALSH Cup

Cheddar knows.

Bring on Cunningham and the Dubs

The cut of the Killenny keeper here. Dressed like a camogie goalie.

Fucking disgrace. Beaten by Offaly and DIT, Kilkenny are finished.

His positional sense doesn’t seem to be too hot either.

That big lad got two late goals for Offaly to win it and revealed afterwards that the new manager’s mantra is “work your arse off”. He could be on to something considering Ger Loughnane’s comments about the Offaly hurlers.

High praise indeed

I see that horrid cunt Eddie Brennan is questioning the value of the Walsh Cup. After managing a KK team beaten twice in it. :grinning:

It’s interfering with their annual All Ireland winning holiday, could you blame them?

Seriously though, it’s a pre season tournament from which all the gate goes to charity, what a cuntish thing to come out with.

All thats wrong with Breannan is he is the first manager to loose to Offaly since Moses was a young lad.

Really? Never knew that. When did that start and what charity?

Bord na Móna and Leinster GAA are today (Monday 5th December) pleased to announce a new partnership with Bord na Móna sponsoring the O’Byrne Cup and Shield, Walsh Cup and Shield, and Kehoe Cup and Shield, to be known as the Bord na Móna Leinster GAA Series. This exciting, new three-year sponsorship deal, beginning in 2012, will see a title sponsor for the first time in the competitions’ 57-year history and the multi-year deal will help finance the Leinster GAA’s hardship fund. The Leinster GAA hardship fund is the only one of its kind offered by a provincial GAA council and has been in existence since the founding of the O’Byrne and Walsh Cups in 1954. Previous assistance that helped local communities, families and players has included financing for medical bills, rebuilding family homes lost through tragic circumstances and financial payments to assist disabled players. Bord na Móna’s sponsorship of the Leinster GAA Series gives a further boost to this fund in helping the wider Leinster GAA family.

Extremely vague. How do we know where the money is going.

I would be very slow to trust that.

Fixed.

I vaguely noticed that picture on RTE Sport on the mobile yesterday. I actually thought it was Eddie Brennan running onto the pitch to protest at someone scoring against Kilkenny.

That’s because you would appear to be a broken individual at your basest level. It’s been going since 1954 and you don’t trust it, fucking hilarious. Don’t ever change you fucking goon.

I won’t change no, i will continue to question thongs that i don’t trust.

Can you show me where the money has gone? Exactly. Can you show me takings for any year in particular and where that then went?

Knowing GAA history i have little doubt some if not alot of this has been pocketed by the council or even individuals.

Doesn’t seem to be any transparity. The fact its going since '54 is even more reason to question it.

Dreadful attempt at humour.

Do you velieve this as well?

There you go mate, have a bit of conviction for once, ask the man himself michael.reynolds.leinster@gaa.ie
