I’d actually have Wexford #3 on reflection. Only team to defeat Galway in a competitive game this season and, as has been alluded to, beaten in championship by the two finalists. Have also given a real boon to the weaker counties like Offaly and Limerick by ensuring they’ll get a game in 1B next season against the All Ireland champions.

Cork beat Waterford by 5 points in the Munster championship
I fear Wexford may regress next year without any serious competition in the league
If they played Lemmy in goal v the Fatties they would have won .

You’d fear for them a little bit to be honest, they were a lovely little story this year winning one match against semi decent opposition.
Waterford avenged that defeat to Cork in the All Ireland semi final. It’s a tight call but as Offaly won the only meeting against Westmeath, I’d give them the nod. Offaly had a trickier qualifier as well facing Waterford. Westmeath drew Tipperary.

I take your point to a certain extent but I’m cautiously optimistic we can build on that victory over Galway.

Yup — it’s all short shortsightedness with us - quick fixes and new managers… Get the young lads into 1A and try have them hurling to that standard for a couple of years – that would be a fine start to our ten year domination

The league is a farce, makes no difference where they are, they’ll get a couple of games and a semi final, hard to know where Limerick will be next year, it seems like an awful long time since they went out in Nolan park with @iron_mike offering bed and breakfast to all and sundry only to baulk when Fr Fintan aka @feck_it looked like taking him up on it. Kiely and his team will have to turn them into fucking animals or they’re nowhere
