I thought it was an (A). Galway had possession about 3 yards diagonally behind Flynn. O’Connor in pretending to sprint towards the man in possession ran in a line straight at Flynn, who was minding his business and knew nothing about it, before colliding with him and diving back onto the ground.
There’s a cunt playing football in Limerick who has made an art form of this cheating shit. Gets people booked every match for “high tackles,” by diving in under any outstretched arm and then throwing himself to the ground.
JBM
A horrible prick. On the pitch anyway.
Dublin have John Small this year who’s responsibility is to man mark the danger man of the opposition. And he has done it well so far as he is a very good player.
Who will he mark for the final?
Keegan would be the obviously choice although will he mark Connolly as usual? Will Connolly even play? So many questions.
If they were smart, they’d put him on Doherty. His ball winning and layoffs created so many scores both days against Kerry.
Can’t see Connolly starting. Small did an excellent job on Harte yesterday that I can see him being given the job to mark either Keegan or Higgins in the final.
I think the Dubs will target Mayo’s key players and attempt to nullify them.
As will Mayo on the other side.
Dublin have too many good players though, particularly off the bench. If Dublin play only reasonably well I think they will win pulling up.
I’d say the chances of Dublin moving John Small forward from the half back line to the Dublin forward line to man mark Mayo’s sweeper or wing back / centre back are between zero and nil.
Mayo will do nuthin
That doesn’t matter, Smalls job will be to pick up Keegan and stop him making runs or having an impact on the match. Look at the job he did on Harte yesterday.
Mayo are the only team that can match Dublin physically and stay with them for full 70 minutes …I just think they are running into a Dublin team who have aimed their whole season at peaking on All Ireland final day after two poor performances in last years final and replay…Mayo v dublin has been the greatest football rivalry this decade…
I think Dublin this year have gotten even more ruthless in terms of winning at all costs.
Last year they played with a sweeper in Cian O’Sullivan. This year Johnny Cooper has sometimes doubled up in that position and they are targeting the opposition a lot more - I mentioned Small being in the team to man mark similar to a Lee Keegan or a Peter Crowley.
Small marked Niall Kelly against Kildare when you would imagine that Dublin knew that they would win that game. Even into the second half yesterday they kept men behind the ball. I really can’t see how Mayo can get over that.
It does matter in that Harte plays as a forward, albeit dropping deep, while Keegan will be playing as a back with a licence to go forward. Their general starting positions on the pitch are quite different. I don’t think it will be Small’s job to go up into the opposition half to man mark a Mayo defender. Is it something Dublin have ever used him for before?
Dublin can win this by 15 points if they wanted to
dubs will win pulling up
Clux will be subbed off with 10 minutes to go just to get him a standing ovation
What odds can you get on over 500 fist passes for this one?
Are you asking Bet With TDB ?
Dublin are the Brazil of Gaelic football
Just curious, mate.
