You said it was to do with more games.
Itâs a better record than the Duds have since hurling became an organized sport. With the advantage of a million and a half people and millions in funding you would think they could win one every 50 years.
Nobody gives a fuck about stick hurling in Dublin as it is a woeful sport.
What is woeful about hurling?
Ya Ulster teams often get more games than particularly Munster and Connaught sides. Monaghan got 3. Limerick got 1. Thats one example
Ulster teams get more games because they win more.
Limerick got one game as did Wexford. Wexford beat them.
Waterford got one game, as did Derry. Derry beat them.
Your logic is flawed.
One game in their province you twaat
Yes as do most teams who enter the first round of the qualifiers, the only exceptions being one side from Ulster will have two and three sides from Leinster will have two.
So Limerick and Waterford had the same parameters as the sides who put them out. Therefore the logic for your advantage is flawed.
Its not. More games = advantage.
I think based on today Dublin are closer to the pack than they were. Kildare missed two great goal chances at crucial stages of the game. A more clinical team (like Kerry) takes those and puts the pressure on Dublin.
Brogan played really well when he came on.
Con OâCallaghan is some talent.
Dublin defence is not as good as before. Cian OâSullivan struggled a bit today for me.
The Flynn point was as good a score as I have seen in Croke Park. He then goes and flufffs a one on one goal chance.
Cian OâSullivan and James McCarthy have tans that professional sportsmen (or Maurice Fitzgerald) would be proud of.
Kerry will win AI I think.
In order to play more games in knockout football, the essence of you need to win more.
Munster teams who went out this year had no real disadvantage in terms of number of games. They just were fairly poor.
Cian OâSullivan was playing in a totally new position. McMahon will get up to speed. They will have seen the cracks.
Kerry are no great shakes. The style successful agai st cork wpuld be eaten alive by Dublin. Those quick hands and quick moving of the ball wonât work i feel.
They simply refuse to do whats needed and thats completely mimic Dublin. Their arrogance (well Fitzmaurices) in thinking they can out think Gavin is hilarious. Dublins game plan is far more rudimentary than people think.
It was a case of join them if you canât beat them. Ă fear Kerry passed up that method.
A clear misunderstanding of preparation
So you donât believe Kildare are an 8 point better side as you proclaimed three weeks ago?
Stick to 1 thread
League final demonstrated how Kerry can beat Dublin. Players who can keep the ball under the tackle, move Dublin defence and then hit the holes with the players clinical enough to inflict damage and take scores.
Dublin without Connolly today - definitely a lesser side without him.
Pat Spillaneâs witch-hunt seems to have backfired. Dublin apparently now look stronger than ever, the siege mentality has descended upon them. Three, four, five maybe more in row now look on the cards. Spillane made a historically monumental fuck up when he led the posse after Connolly. Itâs looking like Kerryâs four in a row record will now be consigned to the history books as Dublin clearly have their sights on it. Patâs short term ravenous appetite to park Connolly clouded prudent assessment.
I donât know if that game had any crucial stages. They missed chances at the most important stages of the game but in truth the game was never in the balance. They were just opportunities to potentially put the outcome in doubt as opposed to actually changing the outcome.
Also, that was a fantastic point and yet on the replay from that sideline at the Canal end I had a suspicion he wasnât even shooting. It was a strange execution anyway.
He was definitely shooting. He slowed up and had a good luck at it and tried to strike across it. Superb execution
That, and the elevation on it
