You, me and @caoimhaoin have said it numerous times - a disciplinary tribunal like the AFLâs is needed - you get your suspension / clearance by Wednesday after the game, appeal it and lose, you get an additional suspension. Not very often players here appeal suspensions, they take them and the world moves on. The whole disciplinary process in the GAA seems to be something Danny Healy-Rae would set up - to basically not make a decision, let things go on and on for as long as possible, allow the player to keep playing while he appeals and maybe people might forget about it.

The prospect of a few years in AFL, being a âprofessionalâ is grand and good, but it must be offset by having to live in australia witv Australians (and the likes of @Fitzy) and probably not even making all that much at the same time. Even someone successful like Keneally is now selling his soul to make ends meet in retirement.
If Clifford goes there will be anarchy in Kerry, theyâll have to speed up this âmentoring systemâ theyâre proposing.
$80,000 would be more like their base salary, and game and performance bonuses on top of that as well as accommodation. Not a hard choice really

I would say itâs a stupid choice if you factor in the likeliness of making an impression and also the length of the career if you are successful. Youâll still need a job when youâre finished and youâll probably be around 30 with no qualifications
