10 mins left, 6 points down. Galway lad looks positively chipper as he’s taken off and makes sure to shake his managers hand on the way off. Bizarre.
He’ll be knee deep in muff on shop st later
Shane Walsh is such a disappointment for a lad with his ability.
So was flynn… Which of the two would ya fancy to score?
I was up there during the week, v sound people.
Achill is lovely.
Walsh was gassed for the last 10 minutes, off now.
Surely Cummins should have been on earlier, he’s a goalscorer.
Black card for Murphy?
Kerry do. Regularly enough
Walsh had three attempts at a score in one instance and took none of them.
He can have zero complaints at being withdrawn, he was awful.
Kerrys lateral movement of the ball and patience to find the runner/hole is great
They are messing here today
No. A push-down rather than a pull-down. That foul needs to be added to the list of black card offences though.
Galway go down soft as usual.
Kerry for all the media guff about attacking flair have been using the long hoof into Donaghy as their main attacking ploy for 12 years.
They’re barely trying a leg. They killed the game with a few agricultural bombs to Donaghy. Haven’t given a jot away.
It’s ridiculous when you think about it.
The exact same intention and outcome, just a different manner of execution.
Six minutes. Blow it up to fuck
Galway never believed. For all the guff about Galway not fearing Kerry, they haven’t beaten them since 1965 and again made it entirely clear they fear them.
Galway could have easily had 3-15 today. Dublin will run through them.
I’m not denying that kid but flynn was no threat and was equally as bad…just saying…
Galway have scored 4 points in this half. That’s just bad.
Kerry have been well on top the last 15 minutes, seem to be a lot fitter. Galway allowed the game to just slip away even when it was still alive.
That’s about it. The pull-back is another one with the same intention and result but is a yellow-card offence.
Interestingly, whilst the rules states to “deliberately pull down an opponent”, it makes no mention of the fouled party having to be brought to ground. Referees, however, whether they’ve been instructed to or not, have interpreted this to be a black card only when the fouled player is grounded.
The pull-back should also be a black card offence as the same cynical intent is present.
