They are outrageously good.

Maybe its that they make it look easy

Lads are tying themselves in knots on this thread in a Ronaldo is a good not great player Dunphyesque way.

Any team who wins 2 AI football championships back to back in the modern era is out on its own and 3 in a row would make them a great team by any definition.

Agreed. They’re a hateful bastard of a team, but they make absolute shite out of anyone who comes up against them, by whatever means necessary and have the medals to back it up.

Initially this Dublin team was about winning an All Ireland, they done that, and are now about amassing as many All Irelands as possible in this time. This is legacy building, and they’ll do it by whatever means necessary.

I respect their singlemindedness. The cunts.

Don’t waste your breath pal…it only makes the victories even sweeter. Sean cavanagh is the latest to say they are the greatest team he played against…

When Gavin took over initially, he was a football purist. 15 players in their positions and we’ll take you on.

Then Donegal happened in 2014.

He changed emphasis then to focus more or the tactical side and the nullifying of the opposition. This has occurred in increasing intensity to this year’s Championship where they are now practically impossible to get a decent score against.

Of course they have brilliant players which helps but I really don’t think Mayo have a hope against them.

The ‘forward line on the bench’ caption they showed on the Sunday Game last night was frightening.

Ah you got it.

Agreed. He also brought in smart people around him. Sherlock seems to have a big role now

Amended it before you got there!

Incorrect.

Well better by one point after a few ropey card decisions by the ref?

It is a combination of both. How many more ways can we say Dublin are brilliant we have been saying it for 6 years.

This is set up perfectly for Mayo, they’ll beat Dublin handy I reckon

It was mix of both to be fair. Tyrone shat themselves but Dublin were outstanding, they kicked about two wides in the game.

 The fucking bitterness on here from some for this Dublin team is a sight to behold. Everytime they win the same excuses are trotted out by bitter fuckers, oh the ref was in their pocket, the other team didn’t turn up, it was raining, it was sunny, It was in Croke park, The opposition didn’t say their prayers, Money, Population, Facilities. The list is fucking endless.

Just give it a rest get over your bitterness and just accept that this Dublin team are one of the best teams. I’m looking forward to another All Ireland now in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait. I don’t care if we hammer the fuck out of Mayo by 15 or 20 points and send them back to the dark ages or “squeak” over the line by a point or because Mayo were in such a panic they concede an OG, just so long as we fucking win.

Watching live at Croke park yesterday, I can say with some certainty that Tyrone simply didn’t attempt tackles. They marked space and stood in their little predetermined patches in their system and stood off Dublin and didn’t attempt to lay a glove on them, best exemplified by McCann who as far as I could see stood in his spot and didn’t put in a tackle all day.

It was the football equivalent of:

You don’t think Dublin have a huge advantage in terms of money or population or travel distance to training?

Yeah I think sherlock deserves huge credit with the movement and runs made by dubs going forward. .

All the talk before was dubs never faced a team like tyrone before but in the end it turned out it was Tyrone had never faced a team like Dublin before…the ease at which dubs took the ball off tyrone has nothing to do with freezing or tactics. .

Nope. It has only now become an issue that Dublin are winning All Irelands. There wasnt these complaints when Dublin couldn’t get to a final nevermind win an All Ireland from 1995 -2011, when Kerry were hovering up titles and northern teams were winning.

Then we were tge laughing stock, now its swung the other way all these excuses come out.

None of this bothered you before the game yesterday. You were confident Tyrone could hold their own. Now that Tyrone have been destroyed you are resorting to this. You are coming across as a bad loser.

Well you must be an ostrich.

Dublin have a population of 1.5m.

They receive more funding than the rest of the country combined.

They’ve just had a multi million training centre built for them free of charge.

They have all their players working and living within a 20 mile radius of their training base

They play all their home league games and all their serious Championship games at their home grounds.

They are all advantages that re unique to Dublin. These complaints weren’t in evidence in 1995 because Dublin did not have the level of funding they receive now, nor did they have the same structural organisation that allows them to maximise the natural advantages they have over the rest.
