2017 All Ireland Senior Football Championship

For a man who likes to sneer at me as a “Tory” you have a very snobbish attitude to a working class area like Darndale . I believe the vast majority of people in these areas are decent and given encouragement and incentives can achieve .

Ok, thanks for clearing that up for us Paul fucking Murphy.

Fwiw the Limerick county board have been an utter disgrace in promoting the game in the city’s working class estates .

Paul Murphy like yourself tends to see these areas as write offs and welfare protectorates. I don’t .

Yes

I met a fella recently who actually told me he transferred into your old club a number of years back and said it was a brilliant club couldnt have been made to feel any more welcome. He was raving about the place. Knew someone in the club through college or something. Hes since back with his own club

It’s an awful game to watch at times…just awful.

Why do you watch so many games then?

I’ve watched 4 games this year, mate…and usually only if there’s no hurling or soccer. They should just call it fist ball and be done with it.

Absolutely bizarre that you would watch 4 games of something you deem to be awful.

Have you nothing better to be doing with yourself?

I said at times, mate… The Armagh v Kildare game was enjoyable, as was Kerry v Mayo the first day…good games are few and far between tho. Dublin fisted the ball 327 times on Sunday…awful stuff.

There has never been a Dublin v Mayo championship tie in living memory which wasn’t ultra-competitive.

Dublin v Mayo championship ties since 1955 have played out as follows:
1955: draw
1985: draw
2006: Mayo won by 1 point
2012: Mayo won by 3 points
2013: Dublin won by 1 point
2015: draw
2016: draw

People were pulling recent league game history with Tyrone to predict it would be a close game last Sunday and lok how that worked out.

:joy:

why shouldn’t Dublin fist the ball when the opposition doesn’t even compete??..surely the onus is on the team losing the match to come out of their shell…but because they stay negative its Dublin’s fault??

I don’t see the big deal with Dubs fans on Hill applauding Lowndes thinking it was Connolly…a lad running on wing forward from what 70 yards away…wow …they mixed them up…everyone was half asleep by that stage…

People saying Dublin are too powerful and basing it on lads who are over 30 and out injured most of the year not being able to get into the team…
or only exceptional players like o clalaghan, kilkenny .mannion and mcaffrey go straight from minor and the rest fall off…sure Kerry are going for their fourth minor all Ireland in a row and very few of them have made the cut at senior…
Its just complete analysis paralysis to find the worst narrative for every dubs story…
will be hilarious if Mayo beat them …a few podcasts will be five minute shows instead of an hour obsessing over the dubs…

The Muldoons and Nordies are seething pal, just sit back and enjoy the rage.

That’s the best post about anything on TFK in a long time.

some of those podcasts are mad…asking why costelloe hasn’t been in Dublin team this year and he out injured…then why a 33 year old is struggling to get game time for this one game !
one minute saying Dublin players aren’t coached as they only make panel as finished product…next minute Eoin O Gara was terrible in 2010 when he came in…now he’s unbelievable due to all the coaching…you couldn’t make the shit up!

Ah sure pay no heed to the fuckers. They’re just making the shit up. Sure look at the treatment Rochford got of some of them for play AOS at full back and then after beating Kerry on Saturday he is the best thing since slice bread.

The thing with Dublin is that the haters are always going to find something to bitch and moan about, if Dublin win they are 2 strong and should be split up 20 different ways, then when they don’t win they are nothing but a bunch of big time charlies or wasters or both.
