A lot of this Derry side would have seen senior action in the league this year, Derry ended up getting relegated probably as a result but it should be good experience for them.
They won an Ulster minor in 2015 and were runners up last year, this coupled with the MacRory Cup successes of Derry schools means they will certainly be no pushovers this evening if Derry win.
Derry have also lost their star man, Conor Glass, at this age group to the AFL. McGuigan and Tallon should be a big threat for Donegal up front however and Niall Keenan at corner back is an outstanding talent.
A black lad at wing forward for Derry.
McGuigan is flying inside for Derry.
7 each.
Some cracking scores here.
Goal for Donegal.
Jamie Brennan dribbles through the Derry defence and picks Connors out for a tap in, searing pace from Brennan.
Donegal 1-08
Derry 0-07
A cracking half of football, goal came when Derry were very much on top. McGee is an absolute monster of a lad, he’s only just out of minor and towering over everyone else on the field.
Donegal beginning to pull away now, 6 up.
Crushing blow for Derry as star man McGuigan is black carded.
Another black card for Derry.
Game over, Donegal 7 up.
Both keepers have had mini implosions on short kick outs.
Derry keeper having a meltdown with kickouts.
I’m signing out now, Donegal have this one in the bag.
Heading for Ennis on Saturday evening to see Daly, Finnerty, and McDaid against Kerry. Kerry captain out with a dislocated kneecap, but I’d imagine they’re still favourites for this one.

Dublin guilty of over elaboration here, should be well ahead.
