2017 GAA National Football League (AKA Kerry's stroll to yet more silverware)

Jim Gavin exudes class and calmness, it’s no wonder his team is undefeated for so long.

Can’t show everything bro. Costs a few bob to cover ladies rugby you know.

This hilarious video of umpires colliding is the funniest thing you’ll see all minute!

One of those fellas was the most enthusiastic umpire I’ve ever seen. He was sprinting around the place, couldn’t wait to wave the flag.

That was a cracking match.

Kerry put everything into it. The dubs still have them come summertime.

Donegal sent Tyrone home with their tae in a mug tonight as well. The usual brutal ulster fare that we know and move. Some other ugly scenes as well, not to mention…

Any chance you could do a wee photoshop and colour in the side tufts of Fergie’s hair red?

Beating Down away? Oh aye.

nearly guaranteed to go up after it

That was some rivalry .

Any idea how many would have watched that on eir last nt. Or how many would watch a league game on tg4? I’d say tV3 or rte wouldn’t show them if they got the rights for free.

Eir provide a good service tbf showing 2 or 3 games every Saturday nt

Live, free to air sport on a Saturday night? Loads would watch it. 34k attended Dublin v Mayo and last night’s game was a sell-out. Dublin v Tyrone on a Saturday night has twice attracted 82k.

Saturday night TV is terrible and people are dying for something to watch. RTE used to happily show the Celtic League in rugby which got paltry attendance figures by comparison.

If RTE or TV3 showed these games they could make them into a television fixture the way the way RTE did with Munster and Leinster’s Heineken Cup games back in the early 00s or how the AFL in Australia have done with Friday night games there.

Not arguing with you sid. Was actually asking a question. Which you didn’t answer. Any idea what the viewing figures currently are?

I agree they would be a good thing to show free to air.

Haven’t a clue what the viewing figures are. I wouldn’t be included in them despite watching most of the games via my computer.

Some of those Meath lads were considered war criminals in Cork, Mick Lyons was actually hated, Liam Hayes would have been unpopular. But lads like O’Rourke, Stafford and Flynn would have been respected. It was a brilliant rivalry.

Unbelievable point by Kirby for Mayo there with the outside of his right boot from out on the right touchline on the 14 yard line.

GearĂłid McKiernan is sheer quality. A quick 1-1 burst just before half time and 1-3 in total from midfield in the first half.
