Wicklow is literally the most divided county in GAA terms. They hate each other. The mountains up the middle of the county divide more than just land. Lads from Blessington and Baltinglass would be more interested in fighting with the Rathnew and Rathdrum lads than playing with them.
No-one has ever managed to bring them together. Itās the country that pioneered the approach of locking refs in boots of cars after games.
Not only that but two of the most successful clubs pats and rathnew are in the same parish (Wicklow/Rathnew) and despise each other. They werenāt happy playing under the rathnew fella a few years ago
