2017 RBS 6 Nations

How would you manage the World Cup "cycle " ??

Shrewd as per

Agree with you completely. Earls is as game as a pebble but shy of the standard required against the top sides. Kearney, don’t get me started.

The others named are well able and all potentially as good as what’s in the NH. Henshaw and Ringrose are both very young and improving.

We have limited options for wing at moment it’s an area of weakness. Several full back options way better than Kearney though. Schmidt has a blind spot for functional hard working wingers over attacking flair, few young fellas who might make an impact there e.g. Sweetnam, Byrne, o loughlin, Stockdale and the u 20s have two excellent wings Larmour and Nash. Hopefully will see some of those getting into senior internati9nal squads soon. I’d say first 4 named will all go on summer tour to Japan and US

I’ll field this one @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy

I’d replicate the New Zealand model

Don’t we have enough fat bastards of our own?

They are the wrong type of fat bastards

Exactly.

There must be some back row there that Peter O’Mahony can’t get in the team, is this the best ever Irish 6-8 group @gilgamboa, I’ve never thought much of Heaslip but maybe he doesn’t play the type of game that an uneducated eye like mine is attracted to.

POM would be the first fella I’d pick personally.

Heaslip is pure marmite. He doesn’t play like a traditional no 8 he doesn’t carry the ball all that much. He’s an outstanding player though just his basic skills are ridiculously good all the time. Every coach that has ever had the option of picking Heaslip has done so. He’s been first choice under 3 or 4 leinster coaches, 3 irish coaches, started 5 lions tests under two different head coaches. Twice nominated world player of year, was nominated junior player of year when ireland got to u 21 WC final.

Can’t argue with that.

Ya, I’d like to see a back row carrying a lot of ball, or else being a real prick around the pitch like O’Mahony. Stander is a great player in my (uneducated) opinion and Sean O’Brien is an exciting player to watch.

Yeah 4 brilliant options. Leinster have a couple of young fellas in the back row who would get into most sides in Europe in Jack Conan and Dan leavy who can’t start for leinster such is the quality they have in back row. Plus Van der Flier of course.

POM is my favourite. I love a nasty fucker who wants to mix it all day

Nice crowd in Donnybrook for the 20s, what would the Association football teams get at underage? Are their attendances inferior at that level as well?

Jordan Lamour the next piece of the next golden generation of Leinster backs.

He’s sensational. Where did he come out of?

Andrews.

Irish soccer is a joke. About 250 turned up for a top of the table decider last year. The same pretend ira lads see nothing wrong with supporting English and Scottish teams wouldn’t cross the road to support a loi team

Daithi was very proud of his son when he made his international debut recently. Rugby is going from strength to strength in Ireland
