A wonderful arm wrestle* in Cardiff

Wales blew that.

I would have sworn i backed England -5 but it turns out it was -4 :+1:

Failure to take points on offer in the first half was their downfall

Proper match that. Two terrible errors from j Davies first and then Cuthbert killed game…England definitely beatable. Wales created fuck all apart from try. Hard to beat but hard to win against good sides with that approach.

Deserved more there in fairness

Wales don’t deserve anything for the utter lack of guile in their back play. All that was required there today was a bit of variation and subtlety to put away a match they were well on top in. Any number of crucial Welsh errors at vital stages.

I see Ireland Lass Hannah Tyrell, the lady who scored the crucial bonus point try in Italy only took up the fame of rugby in 2013. Some achievement by her to be a full senior international within 3 years.

There’s a current player who did it in a year

She must be a sensational sports person

You don’t hear the term ‘lass’ that much anymore

I think the team is packed with sensational sports people who made the switch from other sports in jig time.

It’s ladies rugby I wouldn’t follow it at all tbh. If you have any more interesting snippets I’d be interested in getting to know a bit more about it though

It’s all in the Irish Times. They devote at least a page to it every week.

Wow. Superb coverage from the paper of record. No wonder all these ladies are taking up the sport.

Was she the one bandage spotted on the news

Oh and you are being generous there i believe she has only ever played 3 competitive games of rugby.

She’s still playing

If Ireland wants to have a proper push at getting beyond the last 8 of the next World Cup then they need a vastly superior back line than Sexton, Zebo, Henshaw, Ringrose, Earls and Kearney. The latter two are nowhere near the required standard in particular.

they cant blood new players just now mate, the way Smith sets things up they only last 18 months before they are fucked from injuries.
