Please log all talk tales and stories about getting your tickets for what will be an event bigger than the Pope visiting our shores.
I was asked by a good friend from Newcastlewest for two Hill tickets for his teenage kids. With KK in the minor I’d be more than hopeful of getting them.
If it’s galway in the final there’ll be loads of tickets the likes of @Ambrose_McNulty and @gaillimhmick never go to the games they don’t travel. Jp will get about ten thousand and give them back to the county board too. Will be tougher if it’s clare.
In 2012, I walked down outside Gills at 3pm and I had the choice of tickets. First one offered Upper Davin, then a Lower Davin…no thanks to both. Decided on a Nally Terrace for about €30 in the end.
You know the story . Plenty tickets . Add a novel minor final pairing and there will be cunts holding them up in drumcondra on the big day . Twill be like trying to sell bank shares in 2007 & 2098 .
I’ll be there alright if Galway are in it. I’ll have a great day with my Galway and Limerick pals whatever way the result goes. I’ve no doubt that you’ll be there too, in the corner of the Big Tree again all alone, posting away on TFK and searching through old posts, like you did the last day.
Afterwards you’ll be back in the corner making up posts about snorting coke of a model’s arse.
That tactic does depend on who’s in it. Never any problem when Kilkenny are in it. They’ll be thinner on the ground this year but they still usually materialize.
A Limerick Clare final will make tickets more scarce than normal.
Had a choice of tickets outside Chaplains in 2016. Don’t think they’d be as plentiful this year on the day
biggest problem with tickets is you’ll have lads who ask about 20 people, and then get sorted and leave the others high and dry who sourced a ticket for them. I’m nearly sure it was the year of the Waterford Kilkenny final where we had a couple left over, paid for fortunately, but no one around to take them off us. So left them with a guard at the top of Clonliffe Road near Quinns. He took out a few already in his pocket and said he had heaps. Ended up swapping ours for better ones then. From there on would always make sure if someone wanted or was getting tickets off us that they took them regardless of if they got sorted elsewhere.
Mine have been ordered from my mate in the Ulster Council.Easy enough,my football one is locked down too but I’m sick of seeing the Dubs.Mighnt bother goin this year.
