2018 All Ireland Senior Football Championship

Yet Donegal havenā€™t made it past the QF stage since 2014.

Monaghan havenā€™t made it past the QF stage under Malachy Oā€™Rourke.

I think itā€™s clear at the minute who is the best side in Ulster. The others have it all to prove.

I presume @myboyblue has been going on about how much of a clown this Laois goalie is all year?

Oddly not.

RTE really must stop showing this ā€œsport ā€œ.

Lots of empty seats in the Leix-supporting section at the start of the second half.

Theyā€™re no doubt still outside enjoying making use of facilities theyā€™re not used to, such as bars and toilets.

Gaelic football is about two counties Kerry and Dublin. After that its bald men arguing over a comb stuff. 64 titles between the two of them and at least one of the big two have featured in 86 All Ireland finals. Thereā€™s a co-relation as well between the population of a county and success in gaelic football. Dublin, Meath and Kildare are the three most populous counties in Leinster and hold the first three places in in the Leinster Championship roll of honour. Same in Connacht with Galway and Mayo, most populous counties with 46 title apiece with Roscommon next on 23. Four of the six counties in Munster are hurling counties which largely only pay lip service to promoting gaelic football so Kerry and Cork, both with sizeable populations are out front. Ulster is evolving that way as well. Thereā€™s no gaelic football in Derry city and Belfast has always been a basket case for the GAA so Tyrone, Donegal and Down would have the largest playing demographic. Down are a long standing shambles but Tyrone and Donegal have dominated over the last 11-12 years in Ulster.

The days of small counties with populations of under 100,000 winning All Irelands like Roscommon, Cavan and Offaly are gone and most likely for good.

I can see Laois fatiguing in the second half due to the alcoholism.

Even Laois would fancy playing ye.

The Laois crowd love to boo. Boo this and boo that. Boo boo boo.

If only we could play teams from Leinster every week.

No love lost between the two Laois goalkeepers :joy:

How did ye get on the last time ye played a Leinster team in championship?

Small canā€™t have any complaints there. Heā€™ll be suspended for the Donegal game.

Still, always worth a suspension like that just to give a Leix cunt a smack in the gob.

Small is a clown.

Shame Carlow didnā€™t bate Laois, they would have given us more of a game.

Bit unlucky I thought. He went for the ball and missed. The Laois lads are fierce soft though.

Won by 10 points.
