It was 4/7 newbridge last night wasnāt it?
@Flano knows.
It was 1/5 at one stage
Whatās the big deal about a game being played in a town centre ground? Iāve been to that pitch in Newbridge and, while itās a shithole, itās been cleared by Health & Safety. Nobody is forcing cunts to try to drive into that car park behind it or to abandon cars on the Main Street. Just park a bit away and walk up to the pitch. Itās not that difficult to figure out.
Iād say youād want to start worrying about Adare fielding teams before you go all myopic on GAA issues
Adare have been giving walkovers in Junior hurling for the past 20 years. Itās nothing new.
Iām enjoying this stand off I must admit.
Hope Kildare see it through and cause chaos for the rest of the Gaelic football season.
āIf I was Director General, I wouldnāt be staying silent on this issueā
this or any other issue Iād say
Itās all a plan to get people talking about the Football championship
And to ignore the provincial finals. Its a wonderful play by de associationās Goebbels.
yeah hold up amateur lads who have jobs and lives from doing something theyāve been training since January to do for the sake of a ācauseā that is a load of auld bullshit. It makes full logistical and logical sense to stage it in Croke Park
The GAA are damned if they do and damned if they donāt. Provide a state of the art 80,000 odd capacity stadium for the use of muldoons from Mayo and Kildare, that has extensive facilities, better gates for both counties and you have cunts wanting it in a pitch incapable of holding a club game.
Typical Irish attitudes to perceived authority here. Fuck the GAA. What are we fucking them for? I dunno but fuck them.
That would be some craic.
The financial angle is a red herring here. The extra cost of opening Croke Park will out weigh any extra attendance gains.
Weāre told it costs loads of money to open Croke Park for matches.
If a hold up plays havoc with Dublinās 4 in a row ambitions, Iām open to it I must admit.
Parking is now the issue? - Plenty of tight bastard farmers will surely let the 3/4k travelling Mayo support park in a field for 5 notesā¦ the GAA should just lay on a bus or two running too and from said field(s) if itās out a bit.
Very simple stuff.
Sure Dermo will be back from Boston by the time this has worked itself out, theyāll be (more) unstoppable
Dermo may have to be stood down for a wee bit if and when he arrives back.
Have you something to say?
Sorry I had to stop laughing at your post first.
Would you suggest they park on the Curragh perhaps?
Hopefully Joe Brolly will serve as Kildareās legal counsel when it goes to court too.
#NewbridgeOrNowhere
I dont know the geographical lay of Kildare as Iāve only passed through on a train.
